is for sure a reef….starts to form about 12ft, holds well as an aframe to about 20/25 foot on an east swell.

it's pretty easy to spot the area with all the surfers in the water.

 

sandy hook is a big place.thats not the usual beach everyone flocks to.if it was u would see way more people in the water then them boys.its always crowded there,it was crowded 10yrs ago,cant imagine it now.and whys it say pollioni bros,when they weren't in the video.i even watched the credits at the end,i remember seeing pics of the pollionis in bayhead on the same swell at the same time.

 

today one could say something about this but no, not me. the other is that each time i read this enjoyable

maybe you can see the nyc skyline from the hook- but the hook has nothing on Belmar... its always bigger in Belmar and will break perfectly with any swell/wind direction. Plus they have an artificial reef. Right now you can have a nice view of the sand replenishment project that is happening in spring lake... Belmar is still breaking...

 

this is redonk. never seen anything like this in NJ before. 3 legit tubes on one wave (nice sized wave too). these guys scored, big time. plus, this ain't no secret spot. i mean, you can see some big buildings in the background, so that's a clue. anyone who has a half a brain that surfs in NJ knows where this is.
