Ya brahs. You thought this spring wouldn't light up like last year's, but this vans gonna be a rockin. Vernal equinox begins and so does the stoke. I'm headed out west at the end of the day today but I'm getting on something decent here in EMass first. Looks like the swell is gonna stay too just like last year. So be it that the high for Tuesday is 16 (yes, the high) or that a Nor'easter with snow is hitting the coast on Weds. Swell is here to stay and it will warm up in time.

So grab your sticks, wax em up and get ready to shott every pier, reef, and point in sight err day. Quit your jobs, ditch your "bosses" at home unless they support your fix, and hit the break. This is the spring of 1,000 waves buoys. There's something serious brewing at the beginning of April too out east here. Looks like OH+ the better part of the week. Yeah, I said it. So what. You know I'm charging it no matter what it is. That might be the swell that brings Spicoli to Montauk for the first time.

Anyone else pumped about this spring of swell? Get on my stoke train. This is why I got hooked last year - because I got rides every day of the week, as sloppy as they were with my beginner stoke. Swell for weeks brahs. Those certain spots that only go off every hybrid eclipse will be straight bangin daily. Then get ready for actual real live hurricanes to hit the coast again.

FLY A BANNER FOR ENDLESS SPRING SWELL AND STOKE

Bros. Ditch the salty outlooks on life and realize this is a thread celebrating the upcoming swell all spring on the EC. I paddle out on one-footers with a thankful smile and ten-footers only to be thrashed each time. Thread ain't bout me sons. It's the swell. You like the swell right? It's coming. But maybe since the cold will soon be gone you're pissed you'll have nothing to complain about if there's daily swell.

Do the right thing. Fly that banner for the EC swell train. seldom, what's that Hindu brah's name here you know the banner seamstress?

Just because something happened last year doesn't mean it's going to happen this year.

Some swell, last spring, lasted a week and now he associates spring with daily quality surf.

What, didn't you get any waves this winter? Your stoke starts now that it's spring? I thought you were performing quality duck dives all winter? What gives? This winter was down right solid.

This winter was a solid 8 on the richter scale.

And surfers are supposed to be salty. Not all of us live on a beach teeming with wahines, and have a hefty inheritance allowing us to tool around all over the globe.

The swell's coming? I think we have swell as we speak. Yep, sure do.

Oh, you've never been out in 10 foot surf.

Are you really this excitable in real life?

Thanks seldom. I know you enjoyed being summoned for that Rolodex query as much as I did having it completed. SKR is SI HOF.

As for the rest of you, go read some Schopenhauer or better yet, Ayn Rand. I'll be on some board-like structure in the meantime seeking to plane land and sea with it like the dude on the classic Maxell commersh with his hair being blown back by the 1000-watt concerto coming from the speakers.

This thread is about rippable peaks everywhere at breaks anywhere all spring, short skirts and tight shirts on wahines, vets shotting barrells in the south, grommets going feral unplugged off the grid, and double haddock in the fish taco. All spring bro. Then canes all summah. Damn right we like the life we live cuz we went from negative to positive. And that's all.

Good to know you're doing all right after the accident.
I got out today, but it wasn't until 5PM. Low tide and choppy. Most waves were closeouts. A bit of a disappointment, as I was thinking that conditions were going to be much better. Still getting out is better than not. It had been 10 days. Try again tomorrow.

Best wave of the season so far was caught yesterday evening at low tide. Super super long paddle out to outside reef, eight to nine foot faces, super long waves. Ate it on the first one and had to paddle back against the current for 15 minutes to get back to the peak. Did a grab rail backside takeoff on the next one so I wouldn't get bounced off the face. 20 seconds racing down the line, yes 20 seconds of running from the lip, finally get to deep water so I can hit the lip and do a high speed reentry down to the bottom, and down the line again, and as it gets to the inside reef a backswash step comes up the face, and I make it carefully over it and down into a gaping barrel and made it out and did an off the lip in the shore beak. 400 yards - no lie. then walked back up the beach heavily populated with bikini clad girls. And their dogs. Epic!!! I love Spring, and it has sprung like a monkey.
