Nice pick dude, been about a decade since I saw those clips.... If you haven't already, check out the Bones Brigade Autobiography. Rodney has a pretty interesting story about how it all started and he goes into explaining some of his autism.
Yes bro. The dropped back hand on the backside turn as he changes a level is sickness. Looks like a layback but not. Dude sets rail like butter.
You guys rule! Thanks for the stooooooke! Tomorrow should be off the hook! My boogieboard is all waxed up and ready to shred.
That's a great Mullen video. The backgrounds are dope and every film should have good scenes but most don't. He's so damn skilled. Bones Brigade is an awesome movie. One of the best and yes the story they tell is just like Bustin Down The Door.
Always loved this clip...riding a 5'4" in waves of consequence...calling himself a lazy surfer then getting the axe...
More Cold Water East Coast with you coffee this morning
Saw this one for the first time a few years ago... Glen Horn, Seeking for a New Port
I was thinking of using "when the levee breaks" next time I was editing old surf footage. Thought it would be a cool song. Never heard it on a surf track til i watched that video. Thanks for the link
I enjoyed this one as well. Fun waves. Had the sound off. Is that up in RI and Maine or Canada/NS? or was that just random that the boat that passes by has the Canadian flag on it?
that's funny I was watching surf vids last night with that playing in the bkrd on youtube.it would be a great song for an edit.everyone is using that disco pop stuff or whatever u call it,techno?I have a bunch of good songs id like to make a vid with, just need footage lol
Eastern Canada/NS A few Easters ago we had good waves here in Southern NE, This video reminded me of that day... Noa Deane, New Zealand
Let's keep this thread going, I think it's a good concept to have a couple archive-type running threads. I haven't seen any recent footage of Mike Stewart until last week when I stumbled upon this, 50 years old and still charging. Peep the Second Reef bombs at 1:00, 1:23, 4:00. Not trying to re-ignite a flame fest, just sharing a video.
First off thanks for posting this, regardless of whatever battles ensue over craft choice, I think its fair to say most of us respect anyone piecing lines together like that at pipe. Secondly, yes, lets keep this thread going
