This Carolina boy is gonna be up in Toronto for a music festival for a week and so I was gonna bring my thick wetsuit and try and score some peaceful downtime on a SUP or other cruiser surf device if I can find a shop there that does rentals by the day/hr. I've already found a few online but was wondering if any of yous guys have ever been there and rented a board I'd rather find a place that's SI approved! I saw tons of guys out last time I was there and it looked fun. they have a wonderful lake front. long shot I know..any way's I really just hope there's no waves HERE while I'm gone! haha ok later skaters
i used to live in the area, but don't know any renting businesses personally. there are the western beaches, harbourfront, and "the beaches" which is east of downtown. if you want to tour "the islands" go to harbourfront, if you want it more beachy go to the beaches. if you get some south east wind over 30 kph you might even get some windswell to ride at "the beaches" but that's highly unlikely. Hi BabyGrand. We might be able to help. We just opened shop, we're a couple of blocks from the water and we're flexible with our rentals. I live in the area and have been SUP-ing here for 4 or 5 years. The surf can be good but like most freshwater it can be messy. There are a few places to go depending on which way the wind blows. We're in the Beaches, just east of downtown. we're beachtoyz dot ca or just reply to this post.
Careful renting out your quiver to any braddahs from Missy or the Borough. They may act like ballers tossing around twoneys like it's nobody's biz bit the only red bill those cats ever seen they blew buying a round of rye for the whole patio crew. Then again, anyone from the true north likes nothing more than going out for a rip.
