You do realize that there are bodyboarders who rode for 15+ years that have NEVER used wax or tried it?
My last few boards didn't NEED it. I got a new board that was slick so that's why I got wax.
    You're a complete moron.
Self proclaimed swell expert? I think I've said numerous times I'm not a meteorologist and I don't know how to read weather models. So much for an expert. I'm just an expert compared to you idiots like you who think that an outer island chain around nj would still mean there are ride-able 8 second period waves inside a 10 mile range. Laughable stupidity. Oh and that a buoy 40 miles offshore is not EXACLY what is going on at the beach. IE all you need is a buoy, no cams or reports. LOL

I could go on and on with examples. You call it being an "expert". I call it common sense.

Oh and makeitstop, bodyboarding is wheels chairs of the sea? You can't surf for ****. I've seen your pics. You look like you got a bad case of the hemorrhoids with that bow legged I'm gonna face plant any second bottom turn. Weak man. Looks like your 3rd day ever surfing at the gay man's nude invitational surf camp.

You guys are so clearly hijacking this entrire thread and trying to start a fight for your own amusement. Get a life

SH...I say place them all on ignore...typical crap from those who are fairly sensitive to insult and want the last word (i.e., thin skinned and long memories). Not worth engaging them...

To be honest, I think its a pretty interesting thread...I don't bodyboard, but always appreciated the skill it takes to ride one of those in top-to-bottom waves. Love seeing them get pitted deep...but never thought about scraping one of these things...couldn't you just use a hair dryer, etc. even with the wax by your hands probably builds up and gets into the cracks of the bb's skin right? Also, some of the shots I've seen in mags...never really noticed any wax on 'em...even the Teahupoo pics...

Mr. truth I find it interesting also, b/c there's dudes out there that adamantly say don't wax. I've always waxed but using less these days, but I also paddle a lot with my arms(save my leg strength for bursts to catch waves, and if I'm not racing a set on my way back out i just paddle). I think it's a must in the areas others have mentioned, on the deck around the nose and where your inside arm sits, and a little in the middle of the deck. For dk it's a must. As far as removal, I've used an old credit card to gently scrape it off, and if it's been in the sun for a few minutes it comes off pretty easily.

This guy uses quite a bit, couldn't find pics of his board though:

and for the record, I dont hate spongers, I def think it s a little weak sauce except for the top 1% in the game, but to each their own, I just like cracking jokes.

fart sniffer seems to get all in a tizzy, and I find that hilarious.

I agree the question is valid it's the holier than thou attitude Shark Hunter displays in other threads to other members that we find ironic.

Some of these others may have but I got nothing against body boarding and I even own a couple of cheaper ones for hitting shore pound and blown out days. Not to mention I got mad respect for Seldom Seen and he rides a body board. I did find some of the comments funny and said so, but the truth is you have been all Billy bada$$ on here for months acting like you are the big kahuna tuna so you got a pretty big target on ya right now.

For the record I don't give two piles of wet donkey sh!t what anyone rides as long as they are riding waves and having fun.

Yes I know you can't handle when someone doesn't agree with you. It's crystal clear. And the bodyboard hate has nothing to do with me. It's been going on for ever Like you said I'm a target because I disagree with the morons that post on here.

How ridiculous-the surfer vs bodyboarder drama again. it's been this way since the 80's; will we ever move past it?

u spongers are more agro than surfers.we need segregation.civil rights for wave riders, spongers can maintain the shorebreak while surfers maintain the lineup.spongers aren't allowed to vote lol.if u sponge on a local beach, please have a legal guardian with you at all times.the argument never ends, its like Israel and Palestine.surfers are the jews and spongers are the towlieban.its not a holy war,its a water war lol...im just bored

Last time I looked it was everyone against anyone who ran the most holy land for eons. Oh by the way the talley bans have never rans the holy lands. If ya need to stick to a sponge board sure put it on and have fun and realize you will never have to fight for a small plot of land that everyone thinks they must own. Plenty of ocean for everyone yo.
