Yeah, there are alligators in the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge (not much of a refuge). Who knew? Not the moron who hit it, apparently. How do you not see an 800 lb. gator in the road?
Well the gator is dark colored, the roads are dark colored, and it was hit just before midnight....which means it was dark. That might have something to do with it
I would like to see what happened to the car. They probably aimed the mangled side of the gator away from the camera, but damn.... That dude looks like he is just sleeping.... I see gators EVERYWHERE round here, but I rarely ever see them on the road, although I did save a family of deer who darted in front of me on my way back from fishing the other night. I stopped traffic and was flashing high beams. Luckily, the mother was in my lane, stopped, looked back at me and then her little baby deers all ran back the other way... I would love to know how all these deer go on an island.... And I noticed our first gator of the season in the pond out in front of my house. Neighbors said they used a storm drain to get here. This guy was only 4-5 foot. Cute little baby, but when there is a baby, there is a .......... Feel bad for the turtles. My daughter and I take walks all the time and she feeds bread to the fish and the turtles... She will probably ask me soon, where did all the turtles go.... uhhhh, they are "sleeping"
I believe you, but this ain't no doggy paddle. Its a solid mile of current filled, deep, shark infested waters. And that is just to get to the island BEFORE the island. Im just saying at some point, somebody had to let the cat out of the bad and haul some deer over. Or I'm just overthinking it and they all took the bridge on night.
that's pretty cool, but the deer is doggypaddling so it obviously cant swim.damn lazy deers need swimming lessons, putting the rest of us at risk for saving the poor fella.lol that's a bada$$ deer
About 5 minutes ago, I referred to my cat and dog "horsing around" in another thread, so it's whatever.
800 pound gator in dare county. sigh. some effects of global warming are good for surfers. the northward trend of gators i think is not……and so jersey is nervous.
Just drove that road back at Easter and never would have thought there could be gators crossing the road.
