Spicoli! I hereby nominate Donut Hunter, aka Hark Shunter, as Efftard of the Year14. I also move that he be awarded his prize immediately. Because no one can compete with the first-ever walking, talking post-surgical-lobotomy patient known to mankind.
Hey Zach, you're really a book of knowledge. Zach's words of wisdom 1)Bodyboarders have one spot in all of CA where they are allowed out....I completely and totally owned you on that. Are you still butt hurt from that one buddy boy? 2)California NEVER has offshore winds and clean waves. It's always onshore Florida has cleaner surf. 3)Buoys are worth more than a surf cam. In fact since they never lie you don't even need to spot check a place. You know 100% based on a buoy sitting way out in the ocean exactly what your spot will be doing. Keep dropping those turds of knowledge Zachy boy!
Who the hell would want you. You're a useless douche. I hate people like you. Arrogant, smug jerk who likes to **** on people and talk smack for no reason. Nothing but a bully who likes to gang up on someone with his followers. Useless sheep.
Oh and forecast is WRONG again today in RI. It's FLAT, yet buoy is 3.6 feet at 7 seconds wind wave height S direction(which will hit everywhere) at sunrise(dominant swell has switched around out of the northeast as of 6:00am due to offshore winds). Just another example of weak windswell not making it to RI. Guaranteed nantucket scored waves off this last weak swell though. Farther out in ocean closer to block island buoy. Third blown forecast in a week. You can't rely 100% on a forecast. It's wrong quite often. Of course according to Zach, it never fails. LOL Forecast was knee to thigh with occasional waist. It's a lake out there. Surfline this week made the right call. Forecast was flat. It flip flops though with accuracy between si and surfline.
as much as I would enjoy putting my .02 here, it's almost more enjoyable to watch the floundering occur. maybe someone should start their own rhode island forcast
Are you so arrogant and f*kin stupid to think that these graphs that SI put on here are 100% accurate, hey McFly hello, it could be blowing east here and a mile down the road it could be blowing out of the west, localized winds are impossible to predict, if your as smart as you think you are you would know this, you don't know Fl. weather and you don't know Fl. waves so why even comment on something you are absolutely clueless about....get a life moronic buffoon.
1 mile north of Sebastian Inlet 2ft and clean. Tide high, should break on low tide unless the swell leaves. If I could upload a pic from this device I would.
I thought forecast was 100% spot on accodring to Zach? Well then according to you, SI is fairly useless in Florida. Here in RI, it's fairly accurate, but like any forecast not 100%. We don't see red almost every single swell like florida does. Same with CA Dude I can check FL local weather history from weather stations right on the coast. Clearly Florida is a place that has a lot of onshore winds. Not sure what you're getting at? They need to fix the forecast BADLY if that is the case.
I went down to the jetty this morning it was thigh high with S.S.W. WINDS (Look at the graph Shard Smeller), didn't go out though , had some fun waves yesterday.
Semi glassy in the morning with S winds 5-10mph. Bumpy/semi bumpy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting to the ESE. Forecast was right for today. Again, most of the time according to forecast is not clean. Also, people I've talked to who've surfed there say it's hard to find it clean with offshores. A lot of mush and onshore. Maybe they're all wrong.
http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KSGJ.html Yes winds were offshore at 3 mph for a bit. Glassy like forecast said. Again no real swell in the water anyway. 2 foot is barely rideable. I've notice majority of time you guys get a swell wind is on it. Not 100% of the time, but majority. Winds tend to be more offshore more often here in northeast. You guys do have more rideable mush more often though for sure. 2 foot stuff vs lake flat up here.
The problem is you don't have an understanding of 5th grade English Bassmonkey. It's they're, not there. LOL
Croatan was fun Mon morning but was a zoo by 10:00, luckily I was done. I do agree about SI being spot on w/this little swell though.
As to this thread, SI has been spot on for me for most of the spring. Definitely the best out there since dukestorm stopped forecasting. And now my sidebar: Nothing in climate is 100% all the time because the weather is variable, and furthermore it's forecasting which is not an exact science (and no science is exact), and it's forecasting swell which is even less accurate. Buoys are a key part of the equation to predict what at best is fuzzy logic. Also, what is the point of arguing wind directions in CA and FL, if you live in RI? Watching cams and videos of some break 2,000 miles away hardly make anyone an expert. Rant over. Troll on.
