You know what to do. If you got one, post one. Mine is only 50% of the way. Needs new flooring and paint, but its been a good start.

Nice start to your sovereign safe haven bro. My suggestions:

    - clear up wall space on the side wall by putting those sticks on the ceiling with suspension hangers
    - ditch the pool table unless you really like your 9-ball, it's taking up all the space in the room
    - put a projector on the ceiling (720p PJs are dirt cheap now) and get matte screen paint for the far wall (13ft throw is ideal) or get a good deal on a fixed picture frame screen
    - get creative with flooring, it is one of the cheapest ways to jazz up a smaller room to high society
    - in wall speakers with flatwire connections which is basically speaker wire so flat it's like a tape you can paint over
    - some sort of sea life in that theme and your beaches are full of relics to use
    - keep an eye out on CL for a Coke cooler that has a glass door and your buds will love it stocked

Bro, feel free to PM me for ideas and help. This does not have to be a pricey project. I have put a new meaning to Man Town in multiple cribs I've had. You are doing the right thing bro.

Would like to have that luxury. Probably would be more like a gym. But with 4 kids, 3 dogs, and a one car garage, the only "man cave" I have is my board while out on the water. An old Lazy Boy chair once served as a man cave of sorts, but it's in a landfill now. Pretty pathetic.

Holy crap, rat, that's not a man cave that's a journey through your mind, in technicolor & on display. Like those hangers for sure.

My house is my cave, since I bought it myself. However, the wife can add as she feels necessary. When I finish my bar room, she will have a nice easel setup next to the window for painting.

one of my many hobbies...home theater...wife calls it my man cave, or bat cave, since its primarily black...thought about changing the theme to beach, but like the standard movie theater feel.

I don't see any tools in there!!

A "man cave" with tv, video games, pool tables and without tools, saw dust, metal shavings to get stuck in your toe, etc is a "little-boy cave".

Nice try Zach but you still have a long way before it becomes manly.

That is an excelllent collection ratred. But you are not a card carrying hoarder until your head bumps the ceiling. Looks like you only have a little ways to go, the floor is still visible in spots. A toke and a cold beer in that cave would make me feel just like the image on the old vision psychostick deck. Where is the beer fridge located?

Grommett, if your parents give you anything more than a bedroom for your own design then you're in the too privileged category. This tread is for grown azz men whose only saving grace is the 12x8' den that their ball and chain affords them. Or the perpetual bachelors like myself. This is big kid stuff you won't know about for a while. Get your nose back in that chemistry book bro, it's a school day.

I have an old chicken coop out back that has been vacant due to coyote attacks on our flock. Have plans on turning it into semi-off the grid mancave.

    ^This.

It should also smell like a mixture of paint thinner, 2-stroke gas/oil, plaster and/or qwikrete dust to keep the womenfolk away. At least 1/2 of one wall must be free of toys and covered in overloaded pegboard.

I think a lot of people nowadays confuse "man cave" with "hipster hidout" or "metro burrow".

So I'm 24, not quite grown enough for a man cave, I just have the 2nd floor of a house. But I got to say, whenever I hear dudes talking about there man cave my first thought is always that he's a tool. I don't know why to be honest. I guess I just picture your generic man cave. You know some sort of neon beer light or sign, a big tv that ONLY plays sports, yada yada. These rooms are sick. I always said my "man cave" is just going to be a empty room with my 3 bees. Boards, Basses, Bongs. The vinyl and snakes can come to. Good job guys, I'd be happy to call any of those rooms mine. And that home theatre looks insane. I'm impressed. Iv never seen a man cave that I thought would be a cool place tho relax till today.

I think your confusing a man cave with a garage/basement work shop.

Tools are on the back left and in the closet. I have about 3/4 of what I would like to have. They are in there, I just haven't installed a wall rack for everything. I can't have anything heavy or sharp laying around with a 2 year old running through there. Which is why everything is elevated.

Yeah... agreed. And again, I didn't feel the need to explain the layout of the house, but behind this garage/man cave is a 4th guest bedroom and the 4th bath and the backyard/patio... So there is plenty of food traffic and kids going through there. Nothing like waking up to dead guests in the back bedroom from strange chemical fumes... And when I do board repair and woodwork, I do all that out on the back patio or backyard...

Not to mention in my office, I have a full on fabrication and woodshop. I could build a house with all the materials in my warehouse. We are building a 300 foot long, 45 foot tall fabricated barreling wave to install on a water park in Puerto Rico next month. I have no need to keep my skill saw sitting on top of the pool table. The wave is going to be insane. I will post some pictures where we are done.

Right now, we are finishing up a full Black Pearl Pirate ship replica for the Hollywood Wax Museum opening in Myrtle Beach next month.

This is a man cave, not a wood shop.
