The classic New England boarding school experience. That could wack out anyone of lower than strongest mental discipline. Not you, Billy. At least we understand where your free-form, stream-of-consciousness writing style was developed, honed & sharpened. And, like a true preppy, you went the other way, against the grain, rebel without a pause to this day. I went to LC in Windsor, CT. Boarder, two years. We probably lost every game we ever played Phillips. Although you guys weren't total a-holes like the Exeter wipes. I think they all went on to work for Goldman Sachs, which explains lot these days. Hated LC at the time. Now I realize that the experience taught me critical thinking & a he11uva lot more. They didn't have Kasser's though; all we ever pounded was cases of beer down by the railroad tracks in West Windsor, and then we'd stumble into the overpass & try to stick our heads as close as we could to the freight trains blasting through. Surf's up. Somewhere.
Hey Yankee are you really a product of a fine Notheastern Prep School? Ahh, I guess the jigs up. I didn't attend Phillips Academy. I attended a private Catholic Prep school in Southern NJ located just two convenient minutes from Camden, NJ. I won't discredit their name by associating myself with them. A fine, fine school molding quality New Jersey youth for decades. Though, I just did a little feeler experiment on the Face Book, and everyone I went to school with is now an uptight, boring conservative parent of darling children. Like, I messaged some bim who called me a "basket case" and told her my therapist said I should confront her. So, I challenged her to a duel, and she didn't respond. Oh she saw the message. Yeah she's probably afraid of me and the whooping I'd give her. My therapist calls it a victory. So, I got that out of the way. Boogitym: That's odd. Just yesterday as I was wasting time in 2-3 foot close out garbage, I was thinking aboot starting to sing the Beetle song anytime someone came close to me in the water. Uncanny coincidence. If you guys don't listen to The Howard Stern Show, you guys are just missing out. Go subscribe to Sirius today. Kidrock: That was a cute photo. Bravo, well done. Pretty funny. NATKITCHEN: Thanks, dude. I'm so tired of New Jersey I would even consider Texas. Actually my "boy" lives in Austin and makes runs to Gavelston. He eats vegetables and does yoga. He doesn't really like me anymore because I'm reckless, sarcastic and cynical. Well, sorry but the world is the world, and I can't hide in a delusion of good vibes and kale. But sometimes when he drinks he talks aboot me coming for a visit. Then he sobers-up. LOL Dog of Singer Island: Where is Dana Hall located? It can't be Phillips, right? They wouldn't accept girls would they? Oh my my. A proper Boarding Prep school should be segregated by gender. That way it makes the students extra vicious and snotty.
Everything is always changing dudes...the state of the planet, the state of the union, the state of the forum...I think the current momentum has taken an upswing, I also think we're getting a little more tech savy around here and I personally have been enjoying the photoshop efforts...but the quoted material represents what has brought us full cirlcle the past couple days, a kind of detached briney Zen that will keep us on course.
Dana Hall is either in Andover of Wellesly. It is properly segregated. My wife said they would have dances with their "brother" academies. I am a product of the Florida public skool system. We had race riots pretty much every other Friday for a few years in the early 70s. Busing and all that. I guess opposites attract.
