    Hey,

I'm curious to know what the folks here think about these drones, both of which launched on Kickstarter a few days ago:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sqdr/hexo-your-autonomous-aerial-camera

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/airdog/airdog-worlds-first-auto-follow-action-sports-dron

I'm concerned that 15 minutes of flight time is not good enough and if the drone needs to land it will have to go back to the shore i.e. out of my sight!

Would love to know what you guys think about it.

Someday everyone will have their own personal drone, following them around doing more than filming.

Similar to having your very own troll, as waynetheinsaaaaaaaane would confirm since he is our leading troll now that the gnome is temporary seclusion again.

What the fuk!?!? First Go Pros so you can document your lackluster session now drones to record everyday surfers riding mediocre waves? Jebus H Christmas are we that damn vain of a society now that we feel everyone needs to see our crap? When did surfers become the Jr. High like twitter and instagram douches? We used to be the counter culture who hated the "squares" and their lifestyle.

Blame Bruce Brown, Surfer magazine, and every mirror you pass by...

However, seems to use this you would need to have your smart phone in your suit/wetsuit. I wouldn't risk it...but would use my friends!

I think it's pretty cool. You old timers need to lighten up and let go of your kodachrome. Do I want 50 of this flying above me every time I surf? Not really, but I don't think that'll happen. The footage would be cool though.

I'm impressed with it's ability to keep up. I think it said they go up to 30 mph. I'm not gonna drop a grand on it either but if Live4truth's friend gets one I'll try to borrow it when he's done.

If these things become common on the beach I'll be practicing my frisbee skills and laugh at the pervs as they look down at their busted up piece o plastic.
