Another week of flatness and it may come to this... http://www.gulfster.com/Daily/2014PictureGallery/2014_goon/index.html
I noticed one dude had a leash. Is that required or just a habit.. it's not like you'll have to chase your board down the beach. I guess it might save your board from getting seriously dinged if it gets away and careens into the concrete pool edges.
If I was rich and lived close to that I would book 3 sessions a week. That wave looks much better than the majority of waves I paddle out in.
I'd give it a go. Looks pretty good compared to what we've had here for the past (how many now?) several weeks.
http://surf-station.com/2011/06/surfing-typhoon-lagoon/ Looks epic compared to the 2+ weeks of powerless flat to knee high waves we've had in Jacksonville. With a group of ten people it'd be $140 each for their share of 100 waves. Perhaps a Florida Swellinfo group could be organized if this persists? No Wayne tho
to bad it does not gun barrel. why would there be a lead rule? don't you lease that factor out for yourself? Or do you discuss it?
Did someone say acid drop? Takes me back to the 80's and to thrasher magazine. I might be down for a lagoon sesh. It's been hard times in JAX lately.
Yeah... Acid drop=riding off a ledge into the ramp Bomb drop=jumping into ramp from standing position with board in hand. But yeah, jumping off the railing into the wave would be sick. Impending dentage/dingage no doubt. Lagoon looks fun, $140 each for locals to bust a flat spell kind of makes sense. But lets say you do that twice in a summer... cost is getting dangerously close to a ticket to Nica or PR, no? Would you rather have 3 Typhoon lagoon sessions in a flattish summer, or one weekend in Nica/PR?
