Im not a big fan of the po-lice myself. Never had a bad incident with them. I just think they are power hungry dudes who were cool in high school till the real world made them normal. Then they had to get a badge to continue their bully ways.

It doesnt matter if they died and some of thier family didnt they still could have been idiots or great and honorable men. Who is to really know unless you personaly knew them. Furthermore even if you did know them personally they may have been great to you and an idiot to someone else.

Talking about money machine recently I hit a parked car while avoiding a head on due to someone in my lane heading at me. Witnesses and all agreed I saved the head on to spite clipping a parked. Cop says oh well since sandy no matter what the reason its town policy to write carless driving to anyone who hits parked car. I go to court the prosecutor pleads it down to a no point from a $400 fine to a $89 even commending me on my actions but insisting that I dont want to risk a trial for the easy out, ultimately I paid the $89 and got the hell out of there. i dont want to hand out with him or his friends for one more second than I have to. Money making scheme if you ask me.

You cant get too mad at patrol cops though they are the ones at the bottom who all the turds roll to. After all they didnt make the rules.

hey kook get ur facts straight.first off I know people who died in 911 so fuk the cops!!!2nd I knew the Lakewood cop who got killed, not on a friendly basis, but knew him from around the way,u ask anyone in Lakewood and they'll tell u that cop was a hardazz and if he didn't try to be such a tough guy he would still be here.u know he was a cop in Englishtown first, then put in a transfer to Lakewood so he can see some "real action."..frankly I don't give a shyt, and that cop got killed 2 blocks from my job off of cedar bridge everyone heard the shots.u don't join a warzone, get killed and feel bad for them, they got what they asked for.instead of him squeezing off the Lakewood cop met his match, but regardless I don't like seeing anyone die,but im not gonna get all choked up if a cop dies who was a badazz.
do u cry if the gangbanger who robs all the old people dies around the way?

911 is a piss poor excuse to show cops respect.what about firefighters?2 of my brothers are firefighters, and one of them went down to ground zero to help out.there are a few good cops don't get me wrong, but ones who are looking to up their quota by writing as many tickets are just d1kheads.i see every weekend in my town, thousands of out of towners like urself come to my boardwalk, get drunk, and get pulled over on their way out,or if ur not drunk maybe a seatbelt ticket.acab all cops are bastards

Hyazeus keeerist, throw in a paragraph or two OP. This wasn't your first rodeo with 81 posts, wtf.

Having vented that, when I first got to metro DC the cops would write people for jaywalking in Georgetown. I thought it was great: kept the morons in line, kept the turistas in line & kept vehicular traffic flowing. Now it seems like pedestrians can do whatever they friggin want to: eff that.

sorry guys, busy weekend being and uncle AND a law-breaking n'er-do-well. i do like the direction this all took, though all i wanted was some high fives and 'cool story, bro's. whatever, it is summer and the water is warmer than usual, albeit flat. i will be back to the beaches of the garden state all season until fall rolls around and the obx has the pleasure of my company. in the meantime i will be as obnoxious of both a driver and a pedestrian as i can be while following these rules that are more like a rape and murder of the misnomer that is common sense.

hanna, i am all for stopping when people are already in the crosswalk. my specific situation was some lone middle-aged man who was not even moving in a forward motion toward a street that wasn't even busy for a summer saturday, expected me to stop myself from going 35ish (more like 36 or 37 TOPS because i already know how trigger happy they are with speed limits) to zero because he might have made a motion or a half step when i was within 20ft of the crosswalk myself. i dont want to run people over or take 100% importance over pedestrians, i just want people to have a little patience and wait for a lull in the traffic to begin their trek across the road.

the point is, every chance i get from now on i will be faking a decision to mosey out into traffic, especially cop cars, just because i can. sometimes i might actually cross, and sometimes i might just wave them on as though i was just taking a gander at what was on the other side of the street. oh, a family of fat ****s who are breathing primarily through their mouths? how droll.

so what im a bad person because I don't have the same views as you,I thought this was America?I may sound harsh at times, but we live in a harsh world.just because I don't care when a cop gets killed,or a cop kills a guy,or a soldier kills 30 Taliban or Taliban kill 30 americans doesn't make me a bad person, does it?people die everyday, its part of life and I don't care!!lol..

when people go out their way for something and get killed or die well that's on them.if u die doing what u love, like surfing, still I don't care but hey atleast u died doing what u love and it was worth it.maybe cops do like shooting random people and their dogs, that's their choice not mine.

and as far as karma we are 2 on the same page.I do a lot of good, talking shyt on the internet is just a hobby of many, but I can give a homeless guy a blanket in the winter, then say I don't care about a cop getting killed so I guess im going to hell?I guess that makes sense.

There are two types of people who go to court. Those with their own lawyers, and those that don't have one (or they have a public defender appointed). I'm not saying what is right and wrong. Just sayin'.

It's a good law. In VA Beach, all cars stop when you are next to the crosswalk. It works.

Last weekend, I was hit by a car, in a cross walk, at a traffic light! Light turned green and I proceeded to cross and the d-head coming from the other side of Coastal Hwy who got his green light as well, sees me and speeds up to make his left before I get to him. I roll up on the hood and windshield. I proceeded to berate him with full word WTF's and since I rolled off and was unhurt I walked away. The guy never got out of his car since I was going ape sht nuts verbally and took off after I continued across the street. All my friends couldn't believe I didn't take a dive for a payday but Karma would strike me down for faking it. I got hit harder by my board the night before, wasn't going to fake an injury. Has happened to me, now I pay more car insurance for a tap on a bumper in DE that didn't do any damage. In DE, the amount of car damage, or even lack of, can't be used in a PI case. My car insurance company says it is an industry there.

Anyway, I agree with the laws.

"isolated corruption" You are living a dream my friend. 95% of ALL COPS are pieces of crap. Period. Corrupt or not, they don't serve and protect. EFF THEM. ALL OF THEM. When was the last time they tracked down someone who stole my stuff? Never. When did they track down the guys that robbed me? Hell, they didn't even want to take a report. 99% of ALL COPS are Sh*t-tier human beings. If you believe otherwise, good for you. I'm just being a realist. As a matter of fact, a Washington DC investigator that I was talking to donated this nugget of wisdom to me "90% of all the DC police force don't do anything." Straight from the horses mouth.

Damn, we went from a post about a tricky little cop nabbing people to 911 and the taliban (a word I do not capitalize) to the Gestapo and even Boy scouts. LOL!! Sounds like it was def a $hitty trap by law enforcement!

This is a money-making scam just like the red-light cameras. The worst I experienced was on Rte 70 (which has crosswalks on a 50 mph 4-lane highway). I didn't get tagged but I nearly rear-ended the guy in front of me. I'm all for safety, crosswalks, blinking lights, pedestrian signs, etc., but to set up this operation where people are slamming on their brakes for an undercover operation seems to fly in the face of "safety". I'm not saying the pedestrians don't have a right-of-way, because if you hit a pedestrian on a roadway, crosswalk or not, the driver is at fault. But the arrogance of some people to just step out into oncoming traffic without looking (and sometimes with headphones on and texting on the phone) never ceases to amaze me. The only upside is that I've read about is the occasional jay-walking tickets they have been giving to pedestrians in some north jersey towns.

Also, most cops are pretty cool, especially the staties. They have much more important things to worry about then the typical b.s. It's typically the small island town summer rent-a-cops that are more likely to be dbags.

Getting back to the original post- I totally agree and understand this guys frustrations.

It happens in my area and surrounding towns here in Monmouth co too. All the beach towns. Plus I have seen the police set up too- same ped crossing speed trap.

Here is what I find frustrating about the whole deal- Deal- is that it seems to be only enforced and expected (by the public) at the beach. You try the ol 'walk across the street without looking' trick in any north jersey town- or NYC for that matter- and you will get run over by a car. Now those same ppl who would run us over up there- are the same ones walking out in the middle of the street in Belmar Nj with out looking- and shoot you a dirty look for not stopping- or worse start yelling at you!

The topper is- this kind of behavior (the 'walking into the middle of the street without looking' ) does NOT happen in the winter and off season.. Go figure . It's not the locals who feel that they own the town. They are the ones patiently waiting on the curb.

    Anyways- end rant.

Ps I love those old summer pros.

why not capitalize, it is a proper noun and it was started by CIA

Al queada just means 'the list'
this whole muslim extremism was made worse by western intel so that there would be a boogeymen we need saving from (cue bigger wars and rights removed at home)

and all cops are pieces of ****, if there were good cops, where are they when their brothers in blue are committing egregious offenses? Hiding behind their blue line. Try standing up and they put you down. Serpico much?

Ever read the Stanford prison experiment? the default setting for a person in authority is to abuse that authority, hence even if then cop 'was a good guy', a few years with the other bullies in blue and he will be just as blackhearted as the rest

All cops are not POS's... Some definitely are, but definitely not all.
