Like I said, we all have our fisherman stories "bro", but you gotta include yourself in that large, blanketing comment. I am not here advertising my real identity, but a lot of guys know my real name and I do actually post pictures of myself surfing and I actually surf with people in real life. So, believe what you want. PM me and maybe I can share 1000 other photos of me surfing that you don't care about it.... Or maybe you can call my wife and yell at her for not dropping an extra G on a better lense. Remember, I don't have "volcom" money.

It is what it is though. Cause like I said, I don't know who you are, or where you are from, or seen pictures of you. So I can't say much about it.

I may spew a lot of something on this site, but it aint BS. You may not agree with my politics or other nonsense on here, but if I say I have done it on this site, I have. If I said it was a certain size (within reason), it was... So I really can't be that interesting, that real life stories seem so impossible to you that it is all a big lie. I mean, what has been my most unbelievable story? Surfing huge sunset cliffs? I know, that can't be true....

    Whatever though...

if that's chest high u must not be from the eastcoast,ur referring to Hawaiian standards.that pic is close to the max eastcoast can handle without closing out.i can see an over exaggeration possible, like the doomsday swell was a solid 7 ft and others claimed 12ft,doubleoverhead,etc..idk,surf pics show no justice.u cant possibly expect to see a face lol.actually that pic looks close to the doomsday swell so il go ahead and claim 15footer for zack

You think the wave in Zach's pic is the size of the doomsday swell, lmao. Zach's wave is maybe 4-5 feet not hawaiian. I would say closer to 4. You know you measure from the trough of wave to right where the lip is pitching. He's crouched over in the pic, do the math.

Ever think of asking me how big i claim that wave was? You obviously missed the threads that showed other waves that day. Wasn't even DOH to me, but that is the very end of a wave. That was probably the biggest swell to hit the west coast in Jan. 2010. If u want to know how big the wave really was, just ask. That was right before the exit. Most waves that day were unmakably large and funky. That day included one of my best wipeouts ever.

To some if it didn't happen in the digital age or wasn't on youtube it never happened. There were a lot of big waves ridden all over the east coast in the 80s and first half of the 90s. There were a number of big hurricanes and big winter storms. Guys were out there every swell giving it a go with no jet skis and very few cameras. There is documentation if someone has the time to dig through a couple decades of old surf mags. I think back to pics from storms like Gloria, Gabriell, Fran Bonnie, Isabel the and the Halloween NorEaster. Guys weren't out there to be on film either.

I lived in SC for 5 years and I never saw a 5ft dredging barrel. I always had to travel to NC to surf anything decent. Face it SC is blocked by shallow water for too far to allow the swell to hold any juice buy the time it reaches the beach.

I saw a 4-5 ft barrel last night. Of course, since you were going to NC, I am assuming you were in northern SC. Northern SC sucks, and never seems to break just right. IOP and Folly can hold much more.

To me, what sets NJ apart from the rest of the East Coast is the variety of surf we have here. Places that come alive on different swell angles and different wind directions. We also have a variety of different wave shapes. All within a relatively short drive. There are a heck of a lot of top quality breaks between Sandy Hook and Cape May. Probably more packed into that 100 miles than just about anyplace else.

I've been spending a lot of time on the Outer Banks. I love it down there primarily because of the solitude and lack of crowds. Also prefer the climate. As for the surf, I'd actually prefer NJ in some ways.

Love the historical value of this.

No way brah, that was me towing-in Walkingonh20...the Streep crew tried to jockey us for that one but we came out on top.

Got some blueberries at Stop and Shop from a Hammonton company. Are they actually grown there? Like, are they ripe right now? Would be nice to be eating Jersey berries instead of those California ones, I hate to think of my blueberries spending several days on a truck crossing the country.

Oh, I understand your confusion. Up north there are four cardinal directions.

Do you understand the difference between West and E NE N NW WNW W SW and S winds? Do you understand how big of a difference those different points on a compass make on the quality of surf? Do you realize for every one of those points on the compass there are surf spots that will be great while others will suck? Not to mention different swell angles.
