A couple of my detractors in Dunedin NZ having a go on the Ghost 13... standing too far back but having fun anyway:
But Main Beach and Blow hole are point breaks with sand/rock bottom, aren't they? By Beach break, I meant more like an East Coast US beach break. Like, with no form and like 2 sections on it =) No rocks. No Point. Just a wide open, sandy beach with no general focal point. I know New Zealand is good, but they have to have a crappy beach break somewhere.
A stormier day at the Blowhole, the rights work on North swells but on East swells some lefts happen. Mount Maunganui/Tauranga is a great place to live and surf, if any of you are considering emigrating to NZ it's a good choice, it has one of the biggest ports in the Southern Hemisphere and s a boom town of about 100,000 people. a short boat ride or paddle gets one to the famous tubes of 'Puni's farm' ( Matakana Island) and the coast has miles of uncrowded beachbreak right in town. Plus it's only an hour and a half to Raglan and a similar distance to epic becahes and bar breaks in the Coromandel.
'The Mount' has a reputation for being a crappy break but we locals know better. It's all sand bottomed. The blowhole has a rocky outcrop which focuses the swell in the right conditions but the coast is just exposed beachbreak for about 10 miles. We get plenty of sub standard surf there but it does line up pretty often as well. These boards do tend to make poor surf look good though. Down the coast about 2 miles exposed beachbreak at Omanu:

To be honest, im sorry, i mean UN-interestingly, my spell-check changed it on me and i didnt notice. You're a boring surfer roy, in my opinion. sorry, again.
can we please stop "discussing" roy's boards? they don't justify 126Plus pages.... and I guess 115 pages are arguments about total nonsense.
127 pages of this tread is a narcissistic monologue from Roy with a mosaic of hate from our most skilled haters.
Spellchecker has better taste than you lol. Anyway there's nothing more boring than the usual bump and grind and/or board walking which we are usually subjected to... it's all in the subtlety and let me tell you it feels good.
Hahah thats pretty funny! I guess taste is relative. But why not make it look more fun?! Cause you almost look bored yourself up there.
Funny you say that, actually there's a bunch of people in Maine who consider thier works to be that of where Blake left off. I quote.
These 'people' aren't actually real, they're figments of a nazi-gnome's delusional grandeur. Post the video of Randy Rarick's reveiew of the nazi-gnome plank.
Even better - don't post the Rarick review again, don't argue with Roy about the Rarick review again, when he posts "reviews" that you think are fake, give them the amount of attention you think they deserve, and give this thread a chance to fade into oblivion. Just because something is the most annoying thing imaginable doesn't mean it HAS to be page one news month after month. sorry - rant over.
