too serious for me. takes a nice photo though.. that wave might be more at home on north shore (brah)...
Dude serious wave.... Micheal j Fox is no joke... Looks nice and heavy but those guys make it look too easy... Unless is it that easy- what do you think? It was peeling like crazy- Michael j would paddle out Thanks MeTard
taking off on it is easy. surviving it less so. also somebody/ anybody should be asking why they are wearing helmets.
The picture/video is of Popoyo's Outer Reef. The wave breaks over a shallow rock slab. So shallow that most only surf it during high tide. Definitely a heavy wave for experienced folks only.
i think there were a lot of tow ins going on not saying that thats super easy but the late drop ins with that offshore wind were more impressive
http://www.swellinfo.com/video/outer-reef-2014 Maybe you guys missed this a while back. This is more the reality of it. Watch the guy at .30, just goes into a dead mans fly away. I also love it when the board gets blasted out from under the guys feet. Crazy
Some ass kickings were handed out that day. That is the way to do it though, I bet it has helped those guys on the long run.
I would go for it, albeit with a helmet and a life jacket on. I'd also want a big board so I could paddle in early as possible. Oh and a diaper, cause I'd be ****ting my pants a little.
Holy crappp. Was that all filmed same day? Next to the thrashings, those makes are that much more damn impressive. Wow. That dude at the :30 mark didn't have a chance in that lip. OTF so hard. Rock slab aside, gotta say I'd charge that before DOH+ Nor'easter winter waves for pure ease of movement and less overall pain...until the face plant on the slab. Keep these vids coming!
could be some extra-surf drama today from the pols that run nic. today we find out (supposedly) where the new CANAL is going to be placed. hoo-ahh could that cause problems.
Still down here in nica. I watched during the peak of the swell sat. The last part of success @ outer reef is a good ski driver to get you ass outta danger. Jts
