Kryptonics wheels! http://business.transworld.net/1415...e-douglas-on-reviving-skateboardings-history/
Since we're reminiscing, I've asked this before but probably in the wrong thread, does anyone remember a short article in surfer or surfing mag where a guy in Hawaii(I think) glassed on fins from tail to nose and started snapping them until the board actually started to work? It may have been titled "How many fins is too many?" It was probably around the time quads first started getting popular in the 80's
I've searched a few times but I guess I don't remember enough about what the results were to get google to send me in the right direction.
and the boomerang fins he used before or after those. I don't think he really cared if any of them worked. He just wanted to be different. Like someone else from that part of the world we know too well.
No love for Vision Street Gear? What about Thrasher? Loving the old school skateboards with the nose, ribs, and tail guards. What about plastic truck guards? Heard the Kryptonics wheels mention. I'm still rocking those!
I threw rib guards on my 30.75" Carver Revert Koi because it's a dope old school shape and why the hell not? Sick tread metard
Here's a picture of my first REAL skateboard, after I ditched the Variflex POS that my parents thought was a decent skateboard. This board right here is probably the #1 gift I ever got as a kid. I remember opening it up on Xmas morning like it was yesterday. Got the shirt to match too...
