Tides were a big factor this morning... but I think think late this afternoon when the tide fills in will be prime for Ocean City. The oc cam looks like the tide is too low right now, but there is plenty of swell out there...just needs more water.
I really wanted to make it out, but had so much to do before the trip. Will be sending pictures! Pretty good this morning?
I agree. Here in Lavallette it was firing all morning and then dropped off a bit around 11am. I figure it'll be down for another hour or so. I'll be putting the wetsuit on in about a half hour. It was painful sitting here watching this morning. Damn law school applications! Hope you're all enjoying this.
This morning was very good early, by 11:00 the tide really starting messing things up. If the stong offshore wind doesn't flatten it out to much, there may be some worthwhile leftovers after 3:00.
wasent sure what to expect in OCMD this am with the full moon tide and the small amount of time the offshores had to groom it before dawn...... i hit up mid town and scored some nice walled up rights just hookin down the beach.....only a few heads out......surprised fo sho!! i saw some familer cars at the SSIRI when i drove over and happened to see a nice set come through.....anyone score it?
OC was good in the AM, with some nice barrels coming through. As usual, there was only a short window of opportunity before things fell apart. I was suprised I didn't see more of the local crew out. Crossing my fingers and hoping for a couple of hours next week as well.
I was just looking at the pictures, and I think it may have been 12/12 in 2003 that we had a sick swell. I had the best barrels ever in OC, possibly ever. Drop in and do like 3 pumps inside the barrel then come out dry. anyone else remember that swell? It was just before dark when it got good.
kinda old news but sat am there was still swell coming in......we found a clean, fast, hollow, chest high lonely a frame in a hard to reach spot and had a blast....... chest high on the drop but waist high line....... crazy how the full moon high tide helped and when it fell it killed it.....
