Ho braddahs, Spicoli has been busy as hell the last week and not around here much for the shenanigans. Got the work hustle on and now am in the clear for a few days. Arrived in Newport last night hoping for decent swell and kinda got skunked. The swell direction was too SE. It's going back SSE this afternoon and evening so hopefully things will improve some and make a wave rippable. Hollar at your boy and let him know your thoughts on the SSE facing breaks or at least ones that will get me stoked. Swell or no swell, the gene pool here in July is swell as hell and they are all in heat, bro. All in heat. Pouring rain last night and they were in it to win it. Not to mention that Thames is a legit wave on the Carver if you go the same way of the traffic. You can pump at speed from end to end if you have the endurance. Summah kid, it's summah. Not sure of the origins(i guess I talian maybe?) but it's like regular fried calamari but w/ sliced hot peppers/pepperoncini and a little oil and vinegar...f'n tastey!
The food here is bomb but everything costs six thousand dollars. Between sushi, pizza, and Johnny Black drinks last night I feel like I got shaken down harder than Shred in the champagne room at Scores. Alas, when in Rhodey.
