One way to kill ads

Go into your browser settings. Disable / block java scripts for the domain swellinfo.com. This may make other things work a little differently, but it seems to have removed the ads for me.

 

Does it work on iphone? Shred wants to know

 

A little word of advice.......if you do not like the ads, do not log on to swell info. You guys do not get it. It is kind of like, if you do not like it do not eat it. I have no need to advertise the ministry now, but if I did advertise I would definitely advertise here.

On another topic (although I stand in admiration of nynj's applause for waynetheinsaaaaane): surf prognosticating..... I know I risk being banned from the house like a muddy barn animal, again, but I gotta say that SI has hugely improved in its wave calling from 5 yrs ago. And, as a sidelight, because SI is much improved, and accurate, it makes the clown act named Surfline look that much shakier by comparison.

As of Tuesday, Surfline was still calling the best waves from Bertie for the mid-Atlantic to be on Friday. Not even close. Tues evening & Wednesday DP it was glass & ass, pumping & clean. SI nailed it; Surfline failed again.

I particularly enjoy it when Surfline's FUcast lumps the Maryland surf breaks in as the same as the Long Island breaks. This is akin to saying the swell for Malibu is the same as Steamer Lane.

East coast gets short shrift from Surfline even as Surfline charges the same amount of moolah from right coasters for their premium FUcast.

I also have no interest in paying for surfline (for their lacking EC forecasts) and am willing to tolerate the advertisements here, even the bizarre ones like "Muslim Matrimonials" that appeared after I read the "Gas Prices" thread and the gaff/zack discourse on recent middle eastern foreign policy.
