the search button is your friend.... Can we as a forum enforce this? Lately, I think it's been getting out of control with all the double, triple, quadruple posts. Just search.....it's easy and it will bring back old threads.
Good point. I've gone ahead and made this a sticky thread to remind everyone that if you are asking a question they has likely been asked before, first do a search, and you will likely find a thread talking about the subject at hand. To do a search, click on the search link on the top forum navbar. Remember to search with the common words that will be in the text. Here are some example searches for common topics: "wet suits" "cold water upwelling" "board repair" "board painting" If you haven't found what you are looking for, then of course, start a new thread...
Nice......I think what might be a problem though is this....when some people look at the threads.....They might be on their detailed report page for their local area.....instead of the actual forum page. So no sticky can be viewed from there. Maybe a sticky can be put on the local report page as well.
Yes, this does happen. I think for frequent Swellinfo users, we can just emphasize the fact. For newbies that might post without searching first, hopefully, we can just reply with a "search around first", without making it a duplicate 10 page thread.
Ha! me too...especially the ones posted on monday or tuesday refer those people back to the countless "this weekend" threads in the past with all of the lame predictions made on monday or tuesday and all of the "its too early you've just gotta wait" responses.
