"The Day a Dozen Parents and Children Killed a Shark For a Selfie"

As a fisherman, that is a sad story even though I have killed many a fish. But the idea of some stupid city dwellers that have no clue about nature and treat an animal like that ticks me off.

On the other hand this story sounds a little made up though…a baby shark? The writer didn't know what type of shark it was but knew it was a baby…huh?

 

so I watched the mtv vmas last night. and only for about ten minutes.

and I've been pretty depressed how shi tay our reality is.
how did these nigels get into such positions of power?
ohyea.... the whole fing country is nigels. fueling them with ratings..

well I did get to surf THREE sessions yesterday. must have gotten over 40 waves...
Although I'm content with finally getting to put my legs and shoulders to work... I had to have seen at least 300 selfies on the beach. Just within 1 day. and in only about 300 yards of beach.

I tried to shake it off. but then I read this. and I'm just steaming now.
damn seldom. is it worth it to be in the know?
cause my ignorance sure did feel bliss.
... at least we have some more bumps on the way...

As stated likely a dogfish, which are hardly endangered.
However, the author's concept on human's detachment from their natural surroundings is spot on. Here these people were more concerned about their iphones and posting the photo to Facebook probably than the reality in front of them that they were killing the animal for no good reason.
People live in electronic worlds, experiences digital, friend's are virtual. We are headed towards a scary world in the future.

 

Unfortunately social media has only brought on further proliferation of people's self-worth. The outlets to post their crap and receive feedback from a digital audience allow them to fuel their own small sense of celebrity, when in reality, their parents are the only people who truly care about their existence...maybe.

 

What a bunch of stupid A$$ Fuktards!!!! I hope everyone of them died in firey car crashes on the way home and the paramedics took selfies with them as they lay gasping for air on the highway! If that little brat of a girl from the story is the future then humanity is FUKED!

I'm over the selfie movement, it's literally everywhere I go, can't go a day without seeing an idiot duck lipping the air as they snap a photo then check to see if it's of posting quality, then sending out for the world to see, look at me! F'ing metards, put the phone down!
