I can't afford to put one of the holy trinity (Trijicon, Aimpoint, or EOtech) on every one of my rifles so I've been checking out some of the budget RDS offering and I have to say that I really like the Vortex Strikefire. It's held zero after hundreds of rounds of 5.45x39, 7.62x39, and 5.56. I haven't tried it on a .308 gun yet. I also have the Sparc which has a 2 MOA dot compared to the 4 MOA on the Strikefire. I haven't tested it with as many rounds but it also seems to hold zero. You can adjust windage and elevation on both and the biggest downside IMO is the battery life. They made non-HBAR AR rifles prohibited (though you can still buy HBARs cash-n-carry?!) so I stocked up on lowers: The MSP did just announce that lower receivers were once again non-prohibited since there are some configurations that are legal: HBARs, pistols, and presumable SBRs (still waiting for clarification on that). Kalashnikov rifles were also made prohibited in all forms ("Avtomat Kalashnikov semiautomatic rifle in any format") so I had to ensure my kids would be able to know the joy of the AK when they're... um, born AK pumpkin fun: I also made sure that I picked up a PTR-91.
