RI Bust??!! Are you kidding? I scored perfect overhead++ surf at Cottermans this AM in RI. Best part...only 4 guys out including me. My best session of the year. Get on it...now!

I'm en route. Average wave period was almost near 10 this morning on the buoy. Every set must've been pristine.

I was thinking the same thing. Its still August, we've had three named systems in the Atlantic, and scored chest high or better clean waves out of all three, not to mention the solid S wind swell we had last week. All of this between the July 4th and Labor Day.

The reason people end up bummed on chest high are they overly trust these models saying 6' @ 15 seconds (and 1-3 feet overhead) for basically entire coast when its a tiny hurricane 500 miles out to sea...

Taste it bro. I've contributed to your "state's" economy quite a bit this summer during my several excursions there. I've got no problem using public beaches in a respectful manner.

Chest to head at your place, shin high at mine. You'd do the same if you were in my stance too, bro. Don't lie.

This swell once again proves again that most of NJ can't handle any swells larger than 12-13 seconds. Every beach is walled closet outs
Give me last Wednesdays "better than Bertha" swell any day of the week over long period hurricane swell.

this thread is funny. put it this way, id rather be surfing chest-head high beauties all day rather than working. I have no complaints whats so ever. maybe you just went to the wrong spot?

Is it really clocking in at 12-13? It stayed 9-10 the whole way down here.

Nevermind, just looked at the Buoys, damn, sitting at 14 seconds right now! Guess it's cause Cristobal is much closer to you guys as she passes by. It's hard to tell on all the cams, but some spots in MD and JERZ "look" pretty darn good, but like I said, it's hard to see how fast a wave is breaking on a cam

Rhodey is sick today. Great swell and it's not harsh at all. In between sessions right now waiting for a bud to get here and park. No kookery observable yet. This is dope. Best day I've ever had surfing. Hope everyone else is frothed and scoring.

fukin triple quote this NJ looked like straight walls of water all day don't get me wrong great size but the only beaches you can surf without being sodomized by a lifeguard whistle blew weenies.. had to bail mad times and take a beating just to avoid snapping my board cause the steepness straight into 3 feet of shallow water,, and I saw a fukin shark which really pissed me off
