My fav's are, Jay Peak VT, Killington/Pico VT on weekdays and non holidays, Sugarloaf ME, Wildcat MTN NH, hiking tuckermans on Mt washington is fun too (done it 9 timesand counting) Gore Mtn NY , Bellaerye Mtn NY, Whiteface if you can catch it with snow or anywhere you can catch with freshies....
My favorites are probably smugglers notch(better than stowe Imo), sunapee, and my local hill. I went to whistler/blackomb and it was f*ckin awesome, but I was learning so I don't count it.
Never been west. Been snowboarding for 25 yrs though. If things keep on track i should be carving pow turns in CO in about 2 yrs. I also plan to visit Alyeska resort in AK as well as surf AK too.
I feel like its a circle of one just feeding the next all of the boards I ride snow, skate, surf each compliments each other and helps us evolve into better board riders. So I guess what im saying is yeah I get what you're saying and I agree. Hell im 37 and I still pretend to get barreled under the weeds leaning over the edge of the road while im carving hills on my skateboard.
cool bro, been skiing for about 5 or 6 years now. Hoping to hit jay peak this year and get better at park skiing. I would love to start doing more freeride and back country, but I just don't get up north enough to really excel.
I spend about 80% my time in the trees when i'm at a mountain. Usually I get between 25-50 days on mountain a yr, this year is gonna be a little light for me though. Changed my whole life around recently as far as my work so this winter I have to watch my spending. In the long run I should be upping my # of board riding days due to the recent changes ive made, right now i'm paying the piper though. Jay peak is a great time. The mountain has some fun chutes down the face when the snow is down and the tram is running. The indoor water park with the standing wave is fun too.
Thanks for the respek braddahs. You caught it in time before the hijack lol Snow tread is a good idea and I'm sure many will contribute. FLY A BANNER FOR KEEPING DIS BREAK CLEAN
Well, I have the inallofus complete board with CX.4 on the way.... I'll post back once I get to try it out. I really like the flat with rocker idea, hopefully it is easy to stay on, lol.
I got the inallofus today and it is a xcellnt! Smooth wheels like butter ( their roundhouse 70mm). The cx4s are incredible, looks like 45deg. + of turn travel, propels crazy smooth speed with long sweeping carves on the slightest decline. Board is great, not sure if I'd want more of a kick tail but I had a blast on this thing tonight - it can rocket. The flat rockered board is different and a great larger platform.
Glad you're stoked bro! Keep us updated with deets. If you've got other decks feel free to trow the Carver trucks on them. Would be surprised if you like no kick. It's similar to surfing with no tail pad. Welcome to the family bro.
Dudes- I have a 34" Lost Mayhem Board I bought on a whim to ride into town but its like way too much effort. 10 pumps gets me like 10 yards. I use my kids longboard that is like the same size and 10 pumps gets me a mile. Whats up with that? Wheels are the same size but his are hollow mine are solid. I even bought some Reds bearings but haven't changed out mine yet. Nonetheless, I'd f-n love a skateboard that feels like a long-board as I'm no shredder. This thread turned me on to carver, looking around I want something that feels like a Log, i.e. minimal effort to get my chill on. you think the 42" hotdogger with the C7 scratch my itch? Where i live is flat as hell and the roads are terrible, but worst of all its FLAT alot more then I would like.
Bro, if you like a skate that feels like a LB stick with shorter Carvers. 42" is a barge. The Green Room is 34" and you could just trow C7s on your Lost Mayhem of the same length and be so damn stoked. Try it out bruh. You'll be pleased.
bought the da monsta yesterday wit cx.4 from a surf shop around the corner thing is so dope bombed some hills wit my friends last night carve curb to curb on the thing its so sick. ill admit at first its sketchy and I got really gnarly speed wobbles at first but then it got real smooth so glad this thread was started never would of prob bought one in the first place
