I know, I know, we have had to hear Ray Lewis jokes for almost 2 decades. For the record, Lewis didn't kill anyone. He was found not guilty of everything. What I think really happened is that a guy tried to fight/stab Ray Lewis, and Ray just held the guy while his friend stabbed him about 20 times.....

Rice is a POS for sure. The thing that blows me away about it, is that he is so fake. I don't know dude personally, but I met him in a social setting and he was a gentleman. He is the most Chritable guy in the whole town. He did an anti bully campaign. He volunteers at the local schools. He is SUPER vocal about anti drinking and driving and anti drugs, and anti violence....

I mean, if it was ANYONE else on the ravens, I would have not been surprised, I mean, Jacoby Jones got hit over the head with bottle of Dom by a hooker last year. This stuff happens. But Ray Rice? I have been following dude on twitter for years. He was so into activism and the community that sometimes I post to him and tell him to just shut up already....

Anybody but Ray Rice and I wouldn't have been shocked... I can't believe this was all show. All fake. Big let down. He was a local hero to all the kids man. straight up.... Didn't even knew he drank alcohol at all. Only seen dude throwing back ice teas and talking "anti alcohol" on twitter. Crazy bros. Crazy...

How the mighty have fallen. He sucked so bad last year anyway... I'll never forget, one of the announcers during the steelers game last year said Ray Rice looked like "A little kid trying to sprint in a snow suit"..... Hilarious...

Yeah dude, I missed that at first glance, good eye. That's why she popped him. He didn't even hit her that hard, but man, the slo-mo, showing her head slam the railing, that was the knockout blow for sure. Shorty was out.

Guy is a piece of garbage. You just can't hit a chick like that.
BUT, that doesn't mean that he was fake. I know a lot of "good dudes" that are violent drunks. 99% of the time they are great guys, but the 1% can get ugly... Maybe there is a reason he doesn't drink.
He may really care about the all the charities he donated to. Shows you how quick you can ruin your life with a bad decision.

Yeah, it just rubs me the wrong way specifically about him. As I mentioned before, he wasn't just a good dude, but he was on a soap box about it. Always saying stuff on twitter, giving this holier than thou attitude. Every time a player would get caught up in a drug charge or domestic stuff, he was the first one to denounce them and be Mr. Judge and jury. I get it, I know some crazy, insane drunks, and this doesn't mean that he didn't care about the kids, and the charity...

Here is a quote from a very close friend of mine, that is now dead, and was intoxicated when he took his own life:

    "A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts"

So, while people may "seem" like good guys or the nicest dude you ever met, when the sauce gets in their veins, the true colors show... I mean, like you said, he spit in his girls face as she walked by... Shows what kind of character the dude really has. An NFL player accused rice of doing that years ago, and I didn't believe it. I am not trying to crucify him anymore than he already has been, but man... that video is just the nail in his coffin.

So, I guess "fake" is a poor choice of words, because probably did mean everything he said that was good, but man it sounds like he was just another dude, pouring syrup on sh** and trying to call it pancakes.

I wish him well, losing his entire career is a pretty stiff penalty, and I bet his wife leaves his ass now that the millions won't roll in. I hope in a few years, we can see him in some football capacity, a la Mike Vick, but running backs have a short shelf life and he is already on the decline. Taking this whole season from him pretty much ends his career.

now im not a ravens fan nor know much other than the video I seen of mr.rice, but il be first to say I don't think he did anything wrong.
oh he hit a girl.u mean the girl that was punching him in the face outside the elevator, inside the elevator.the problem is,hes a football player,a big black guy,and even if he throws the lightest punch, whoever it connects is dropping to the floor.i wouldn't blame that on booze or drugs, even if he was lit up like a Christmas tree.it was self defense shyt whats so hard to see?i feel bad for these pro players.

the nba guy who made a comment had to sell his team.imagine u become someone famous, lets say 30yrs from now yankee is playing on the Yankees.somebody is feeling jealous,so they start digging up some dirt.find this forum and a post from 30yrs ago will get u kicked off the team, kicked out of the mlb,and sued for everything.is that wrong?

look at ron paul.he came out running for pres and some haters dig up some old paper he cofounded 30yrs ago and say he wrote some racist shyt.believe me,nobody is perfect in this world, nobody.im positive everybody alive said some shyt,or did something that can get them in trouble.as far as normal people like us,we will never get caught lol.

anyway back to rice, this is the reason these guys end up killing their spouses.the spouse starts a fuss,he throws 1 single punch, gets him kicked out the league and losses everything so they decide to kill their wife.i call that karma.I don't support domestic violence lol,but there are many cases where the guy wasn't wrong.i have no domestic disturbance charges btw.most of the time the girl deserves it.

now if they got u on camera suckerpunching ur wife and beating the shyt out of her while shes on the ground, then I say kick him out the league and throw him in jail.but 1 punch to 10 punches doesn't make sense.dumb biych should neva fukd with a nfl player.

    always remember,what would shred do?

how bout them eagles lol...cant believe the dolphins won, they fukin suck

Exactly: what would the shredmachine do?

And if I'm playing ball in 30 yrs for the Bombers, this planet is truly screwed.

btw, conspiracy theory alert: Levenson saw what that bumbling idiot got paid for the Clippers, so he figured out a similar game plan in order to sell the Hawks for top dollar & go back to boinking super models. Archy.....?

Since it's an NFL thread & I don't want anyone going batshiiite regarding thread derailment, I'll end on this note: I will never ever understand how an NFL team continues to employ Michael Vick.

Cuz no one cares about pitbulls. If he was killing black labs and golden retrievers he'd be unemployed. True.

Did you watch a different video? When was she hitting him outside the elevator?
He spit in her face outside the elevator and she gave him a little back hand slap. Then he follows her in the elevator and spits in her face again. She starts to take a swing and he hits her... Then follows it with a knockout punch.
If you think that's ok there's something wrong... I don't know what happened before the video, but everything on the video was terrible and instigated by him.

I care. Seen cares. A whole helluva lot of people care.

What you say: that's not it. Nah. What it is, it's the mantra of America, dude, 'money money money' and that's it.
Any a-hole walking can do pretty much whatever he wants to do to dogs & other creatures & roll along as long as he makes money for the organizations.

I mean, really mang, wtf do you think Torture World is all about?? Follow the money. Not the golden retrievers.

I don't like what Vick did, but he did 2 years in prison for it. That's worse than a non-famous, poor banger would have got.

Comparing him with a banger is irrelevant. Has no bearing. Apples & oranges.

The man should be judged on his crime, not in comparison to anyone else. The a-hole deserved MORE time in the can for what he did to those creatures.

Vick wouldn't be running around, making huge amounts of money, having thousands of people cheering his football game if it were up to me (and others). Get another job, after he gets out of prison, but not one that involves people hero-worshipping the sick bastard.

There's a reason felons can't vote, can't own guns & can't run for political office. Serious crimes are met with serious, lifelong punishment. Two years in the can with his homies does NOT equate to justice for Vick torturing hundreds of dogs; hanging them from wire until they strangled at his arm's length; tossing defenseless dogs into the pitbull arena to be ripped apart while alive; capturing people's pets from their yards & letting his brutalized dogs rip those dogs to pieces.

Nah. Nah man. He's sick to the core. Always will be. He has good PR people. He didn't change one bit. He just got caught, is all.

When people show you who they are, believe them. The first time.

    FUKK VICK FOREVER

    That's one of my mantras.

    Hard to forgive Vick.

Lived in ATL when it all went down. Hopes and dreams of ATL were flyin high when he showed up. Took the whole city down with him. Really sucked. Pitbulls ain't my favorite doggies, but they're still doggies. In many cases I'd love a dog way more than I would love a person, so it sucks even more.

    Hard to forgive Vick.

You know the law didn't give two craps that he was involved with killing dogs.... It cared because of the money racket.
