looks like they're coming. to the wrong venue (pennsylvania av ??!!??wtf)....the only context in which it makes sense is boy do they need to fill these hotel rooms...!
It was cancelled? Oh man...I better call Revel and see if I can still cancel my hotel reservation. Seriously, though - what happened? Something like an ASP event usually doesn't flake out and cancel. I can't imagine this was all based on Tudor's rant a few months ago.
Found it: Melanie Sole, a public relations representative from the Atlantic City Alliance, said the event was canceled due to work being done on the beach in front of Resorts. i read the same thing in the newspaper. lets hope they hold it in front of resorts indeed cause pa av on the other side is a tricky venue and they would have to get waaaaaaaaay lucky to get decent surf there.
Pa ave isnt that bad of a choice. Pretty consistent there actually (maybe not exactly there but within a short walk) I keep tinkering with an idea to bring a surf/food/beer/music thing somewhere and keep thinking of AC and how they need the economic push they do.
they DO need any economic push available however the "surf industry" is cornered by phonies and you might end up viewing your endeavor as "culturally inappropriate."
This past week the police shot a 20-year-old male four times at Rt 30 & Pennsylvania Ave See, no Ferguson, MO around here. Actually, the neighbors were stoked.
