yup...my whole "pastafarian king" persona was a direct response to that. had to combat it somehow. was hoping to engage him in a "lively" debate, but he never took the bait.

Can't take me seriously because I rep my home state? Not sure what you are getting at. Nothing wrong with repping my / your home state, almost everybody on here does that. Besides, FL is a great place to surf. You may not like it, and that's fine, one less J-off in the lineup as far as i'm concerned.

Pretty sure many people on here value my opinion or the content of my surf related comments. I'm not some kook who talks about things I know nothing about. As a matter of fact, i'm pretty confident I offer WAY more knowledge on surfing related topics then you could ever dream of. Stop pretending to be from Hawaii and acting like you're some anarchist when in fact you'd be the first in line to get help if the world were to turn into true anarchy. Anytime you're in the area i'm here for you. We can "meet at my break" and we'll see who gets taken seriously. can't speak to the rest of it, but i'm pretty sure i know who MIS is & have surfed w/ him several times when he lived here, before his move to hawaii. if i'm thinking of the right guy, he's very knowledgeable & is a good surfer, more than capable of handling himself in solid surf.

I have said this before. The C.O. can't sit and have lunch with the inmates every day. It never works out well. This is why all the current mods operate under aliases and do not communicate via the message board.

First of all, I want to know why you guys never hosted this message board software on your own. You don't need a virtual host to run it, much less someone censoring your users and threatening your services. Because if that was never the case, the infractions and the bannings would have never really taken place.

But if you are sitting there having a disagreement with someone, and 10 minutes later, that person bans you, even if they were right in doing do, it doesn't sit well with people. There was no way around it.

Micah does a fine job keeping things civil and chiming in with very brief comments here or there, but I am sure he toes that line very carefully.

But still,

 

Good one, but see I never said FL is the best place in the world to surf or has the biggest waves, but it is a great place to surf. There is a rideable wave nearly every day of the year if you hit both coasts. I don't see the problem with that. Never said it's like the North Shore or anything.
