b wynn or dcal are the way to go if you want a more high performance minded craft. malwitz is killer, too.
thanks all. Brian has something in production for me. Will post pics when it is done. I also spoke with Dave at DaveySky and he seems like a real solid guy with some good ideas. Just went with Wynn due to location, production schedule and that he seemed to be a little more in tune with what i wanted.
B Wynn. Chances are even if someone else shapes the board, TONS of NJ shapers go to Wynn for the glassing. I have a few boards from Brian. He can shape you exactly what you want. With some shapers, its something they do on the side. Shaping and glassing is ALL Brian does. It is his "day" job. Great guy, awesome shaper.
Yeah Wynn does great work Ive had tons of Wynn's boards . He's actually shaping 2 boards for me now. And the more unique and different the board to more stoked he gets. He loves making surfboards and thats the kinda guy you want making your board someone who its more than a job to its there passion .
I hear lots of great stuff about Wynn, if I wasn't a big Mike Daniel / Coil fan i'd probably get me one. Maybe I will one day anyways just to have a different board than all my others.
maybe some of the other guys in here get volume discounts but depending on options, it's in the 5-6 range.
