Here's an unfinished build that my neighbor was going to "help build it with you bro!", that didn't work out. I got about 1 hour from him. It's based on a Takyama scorpion. Gonna glass it up when I'm done with this current build. And here's where my artwork comes from. A little more from this build. This is a rocker table AKA a really long clamp. Eliminating weight is key with these boards. The one i'm working on now is going to be the lightest yet. Easily 1/2 the weight of the Ol' bird pic above. The deck is going to be 1/8" luann and you saw how much wood I removed from the insides. The rail build is the most labor intensive part and waiting for glue to dry is a time suck.
You might be able to tell more from my last post. I basically made 1/4" strips and glued/clamped them on top of each other then took the grinder to them. I'm going to refine the process and bead & cove them. This should make them stronger and really cut down on the finishing time. I usually make the nose and tail slightly bigger and sand it down to shape.
dude, did you just glass a boogie board? i want one! that thing looks so sick hahaha prolly so fun to tool around on that thing.
They're professional lap dogs. The vizsla has great natural instincts and can run for days. I let him chase (swim) after turtles in the pond until I get bored. He's completely gun shy though. Really the most non-violent creature you could come across unless you mess with my kids. I got him when he was 7 months and the people did a pretty bad job breaking him from what i can tell. Great dog, ready to roll or chill at 7 years old now.
This thread actually inspired me a few months ago and I decided it was time to make another. This was the first one Ive tried to glass/sand/paint/fin install myself. Turned out alright. 5'5 x 20 3/4 x 2 1/2 twinny. I recommend doing the whole process yourself, start to finish, at least once. Good experience.
