Yo stayabove I swear this isn't in response to your Phish comment...just what I'm listening to this morning totally coincidental...I was at this show, these guys hold it down imo...

2/18/71 14:23 Beautiful Jam begins. Lazer beams from Garcia. An absolutely incredible 22 minutes from the band. First Wharf Rat. The night itself featured a lot of firsts. Sick! First Wharf Rat? F'n awesome. Manisses didn't know you were a fellow geek w/ GD stuff, but man, 71-74, best stuff ever.
150+ SBD shows on the hard drive from 69 - 79. Me love some Dead. I've got all the Betty stuff. Happy to dropbox a few gems if anyone is interested.
Manisses and Seldon Seen im glad there are people out there who listen to good music ... I feel like most surfers listen to that punk garbage i listened to a decade ago ...
Man something about when the Dead are tearing through a jam for me just conveys the power of natural forces. I do love me some ratty punk garbage too though...hey stayabove, you into Ween...I posted another vid from this show hopefully this isn't a re-post... Use to always jam to punk rock like NOFX and Pennywise on the way to the beach but a near death experience back during hurricane Bertha has had me stuck on some Sturgill Simpson lately. This song sums it all up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm_niX9411M
To get pumped to surf it's Foo Fighters and Pennywise, then I listen to Old R.E.M., Rush, Arcade Fire, Silversun Pickups, Cake, The Connells and the Replacements. Beyond that I like just about everything from Bluegrass (AKUS) to Jazz.
