I'm sure you guys will be really supportive, so hey how about some light hearted discussion and maybe creative criticism on my new hobby?
You should push yourself through your local hood that way. I'm sure your day will get much more exciting.
I'm chairman of the bored.
thagaffer - true. i haven't used it outside yet because i realize how god awfully stupid it is, but at the same time i wonder if i will get some kind of guilty stoke from it. the only thing im worried about is whether i will really be able to get any decent speed like kicking off gives you
Can't see it being comparable for explosive speed that you'd maintain for a distance or up a hill. Maybe you're looking to "just cruise" and that's fine if you get stoked on that. Me personally, it would be the anti-stoke for me. I'll stick to mushing with the DC hi-tops, and not being a boner rolling with any of that hardware.
I always see some douche riding one of those near my house and I cant help but think, is it that hard to learn how to kick push?
No it's not. Maybe a couple days of skating. Kick pushing is way more powerful, way better workout (leg/core muscles) and it looks a hell of a lot cooler. Look, if I can vigorously kick push on a Carver deck with rail-to-rail flex while doing a single-leg squat on the deck with my foot in riding position, not toe-forward pushing position, then anyone can kick push on a more stable deck.
Is there a guy dressed in a similar costume with blue accents? Do you plan on battling him with your bow staff?
