When I was in school, couple of Mormons showed up at my apt one day. All I wanted to do was get high and watch Price is Right. So while they were tying to save me from myself, my roommate went down and let all the air out of their bike tires. They never came back.

It tickles me to see all these people get up in arms about the beheadings overseas. How about if you want to keep your head, you stay the eff out of the war zone. As for the one that happened in Alabama.... Don't think it was the first time in good ol' merica. I seem to remember a nut job in tragic hollow a few years back, here in VB, lobbing his young son's head off, then walking blood soaked down Lynnhaven claiming he had a demon inside him. The end result, same. We have our own screwed up people to deal with here. Child abuse, the NFL, Chicago on any given weekend, the list goes on.

I've been to dangerous countries. England ain't one of 'em. The US isn't either, but every coward with a gun and a panicky chicken-little attitude makes it that much more annoyingly hazardous for people who actually have a pair.

 

Agreed. But this is different. Given the current political climate in the middle east. Yes, 2 years ago, a random beheading in Oklahoma is just a random act of bat sh** crazy. But in September, 2014, if you are a known Muslim and you "be head" someone. You are WIHTOUT A DOUBT making a statement. Not a random one either. That guy knew exactly what he was doing and exactly why..... Different time, yeah, not a big shocker. Right now... Yes, to me it's kind of a big deal.

As for England, the English as of late overwhelmingly support the push to repeal the anti gun acts of 97. They are returning to thatcher conservative policies. Can't say I blame them, as there are areas of manchester and London with signs warning people that sharia law is enforced here.

It's changing though. They have a tea partyish movement (I know it's funny thinking about it considering the history) that has managed to snag 39% of parliament and a ton of the local gov. Cameron is becoming staunchly con as well. Thank god. England has hope.
