So I'm always scouring craigslist, wondering what deals I might find locally. Buy and sell, ride lots of boards.
So anyways, this craigslist ad has been up for the last couple months, this guy is selling costco boards for a profit. It bothers me. Here's his ad:
    https://southjersey.craigslist.org/spo/4643248285.html

here's the details, ya know, in case he takes it down.

He left his phone number in the ad, in case any of you want to call with interest in the board...

if he can do it, good for him.

are you angry because he is preying on the stupid?

or that he is providing a board procurement service for someone too lazy to get a costco card?

Oh man I see that guy on craigslist all the time... I'm always lurking for new boards... He has the 8ft board up too. He just jacked up his prices for hurricane season I guess...

Bummer for kids who probably save up their lunch money to buy one of these when they are 60 bucks at Costco

We've discussed this issue no less than 8x prior. People have posted links to these Costco resellers on CL many times. Educate thyself. There are people ripping off other people all day, everyday, everywhere.

Some people associate a certain dignity or morality with the surfboard industry. Others look at it the same way they look at buying paper. "I want the best and cheapest product."

Yes, people are getting ripped off all the time everywhere. Some of us are disgusted by that and others say 'rape and let rape.'

This guy is an idiot, he's not being entrepreneurial, he's just taking advantage of uninformed and uneducated people. Sure, they might all be beginners. Might be some parents in there too, that barely scraped the money together for their kids first board, only to get taken advantage of by this guy. He's a douche.

If you guys can't see that you might be douches too.

Bro, I don't think any of us are in any way supporting or really condoning this Deutsch, and he is a Deutsch. If you want to go fight the good fight then have at it Bruh, but you're gonna be chasing dudes like this in every city. We've seen them from Maine to Virginia on CL. Maybe you can charge breaks all the way up and down the EC en route to your main purpose of citizens arrests.

Me personally? Only issue I have with dis tread is that it's redundant. We've already had this discussion. We've seen postings like this several times before and all agreed it's shameful. I also think there's a certain acceptance and wager of fraud that one needs to have when dealing with such unregulated classifieds as CL. Heck, we need that safeguard awareness on all day. But CL? One can't expect high morality on there. Unless it's a missed connection...

Wtf are you guys talking about! I see restaurant owners/store owners in Costco all the time. They are buying goods in bulk to mark up and resell. This guy is doing the same thing, the difference is that he doesn't yet have the capital to open a store. Everyone is so high and mighty, if you don't like it don't buy it, but to talk about bringing him down for trying to make a few bucks? Have you all been so brainwashed by the educational system and the idea of political correctness that you are unable to let the free market decide if this product or service is of value? I bought a soft top for my son 7 years ago at a surf shop and paid over $200 for it. I know and knew at the time that they probably paid $50 for the same board. Did I run round screaming how these capitalistic dogs had ripped me off? No I realized it was in my power to shop for a better price but at the time the convenience and ease of the purchase justified the mark up. The people who buy these boards from him are thinking the same way. Take a deep breath a let it go, I doubt he's selling all that many anyhow.
