I ran the bridge last week. No crowds at all. Come on down some time and I'll let you run it for half the price of the CRBR.

one more thing to add here. i always pack swim fins and a lunch tray in my car in the event the surf isn't that great, but bodysurf-able. if you bodysurf for a 1/2 hour or more straight while not touching bottom (treading water the whole time), it's a great workout. ridiculously tiring, for me at least. plus, it provides a whole different perspective to riding a wave...you are completely connected to the face of the wave on a decent sized day. bare bones surfing.

Edmund's Oast. It is on the way to becoming a top brewpub in the country. Food is as good as Husk, beer is better than all. Send me a message before you head this way. Maybe we can have a SI meet up, beer chugging, bench off event.

I've never been big on lifting weights. I basically do what DOS Ex does. About 30 minutes of running or some other cardio (F@cking, step machine, spanking, etc). 3 times a week I'm in the pool at the gym. 1 mile per session. I'm all about the pull-ups, push-ups. I do Power Yoga with the wife to keep the core tight. (Pre-f@ck workout)
My problem is my diet. I eat like an Ogre and drink like a Viking. At 51 years old that sh!t sticks to you.

Gave up the weights a long time ago, after only a brief stint. I was always told that you aint benchin diddly unless it's 2x your body weight and up. I did. Don't wanna get accused of showin off (again), so won't get into the details. I agree with DP 1000% on Herschel Walker. Dude was the baddest Dawg ever to come through UGA football.

I try to do workouts that are close as possible to surfing. Lots of pushups, riding bike at the beach, and LOTS of bodysurfing / ocean swimming (can't stand swimmin in a pool, lookin at a lane stripe). You'd be surprised how much 3 hours of bodysurfing and ocean swimming can build your paddling endurance. I know some people aint cool with bodysurfin. You don't know what you're missin.

Herschel Walker is a king of men. Cool articles on him this week with the anniversary of the trade.

Herschel Walker would win a bench off at BelMar and shott 23-fotters no prob.
