Yea so far the adventure has gone pretty much how I expected. The Pacific North West has dished out some monster, stormy, nearly un-rideable fall swell. Got a couple waves I had to work really hard for, including a two mile hike just to get to the isolated spot. Missed out on the fabled "Best wave in washington" due to apathy and caution, but I'm sure there will be more to come. Scored a free Canadian thanksgiving dinner yesterday from some yuppies in vancover visiting south of the border. The north country folk ****ing rule.
Trev, you're probably already getting p!ssed on pretty good right now. Tuesday late morning should be good for The Groins, winds will be strong out of the south and tide will bottom out about 10:30. If it isn't too stormy, it'll probably be firing. If you pull up to the viewpoint around 9am, you'll have enough time to have a cup of coffee and pull on your suit. I sent you a PM.
Aw dude, please tell me that wasn't *you* surfing La Push 1st Beach yesterday. I was streaming that, and it scared me just watching it. It's gonna be huge all week, the whole coast is going off it's nut right now. Stick to the reefs and points bro.
Holy ****. Yes man yes, the groins was and still is firing. MAKE IT OUT HERE. its like 10 to 12 and clean. This trip has worked out in my favor, met some cute Hawaiian chick i can surf with, crash at her house AND she has a ****ing halfpipe in her garage. Score! wondering what oregon has in store for me...
Tre, sounds like you're having a hell of a trip. Great to hear bro. Where the hell did you find this wahine with the halfpipe? That's the score of the whole trip. You may want to kick it there for a hot minute before going to OR. Never hit up La Push or JDF yet, only Westport. You're making me want to head there next time out. Told you the PNWbuoys would take care of you. KR and the others look after the Swellers!
Least you know you've got a place to lay up in WA now. Keep us informed bro. This is turning out to be the trip we hoped you'd have after all the hard work in the hills this summer.
Welcome back. Enjoy the drive south. I'm familiar to varying degrees with the LA to Monterey portion of the west coast.
Trev, this is probably going to be the longest, slowest trip you've ever taken. The Groins has been going off, but Seaside has probably been epic. Forecasts show OH-DOH with favorable winds all week. Might as well take the 2 hour drive and park at the Cove, and start making friends at the Point ASAP. Man, I'm wondering what 3rd Beach Neah (the other Wedge) has been looking like. Probably Richter, if it can handle the size.
Good stuff trev. Keep it coming. Us old guys have to live vicariously through you young bucks. Post pics of the cute Hawaiian girl.
Bruh! Check your PMs. Seaside is sic. There are some pretty cheap hotels to stay at right in the dtown mix of things. Place called the Highland Motel I believe, run by a really nice woman. You may be trying to rough it just because, but getting a spot for a night is comforting.
The fact that dis tread has only 4 pages of dialogue is a failure of mankind. We can post for dozens of pages about Jenelle teen mom and "florida" right? But talking about pacific freedom, that's just not worth the time... Even for you bros who've never tasted a granule of the stoke that trevolution is writing about, you should be reeled in by the mystique and convinced it's something cool you just don't know about. tre is, as you pretenders like to say "living the dream", yet you couldn't be more disinterested. Bunch of nihilist hipsters. Dispicable.
...spend some quality time in and around San Simeon, this time of year... before the winter patterns set in. You can find some real gems, with nobody around for miles, if you're lucky. And the conditions couldn't be better.
tre bro, we could've shott piers and bowls together this week if you'd gone further south so far in your sojourn and met up in SoCal. Where are you at now? Too bad you're not in Seaside still, it's overhead glass there today!!!
caught seaside at its prime a few days ago, the point with surley shredder locals and all. Im in the good ole' emerald triangle staying with my bud at humbolt state. Hopefully some swell i can lurk on once i can move again.
