You son of a b!tch........ I had that happen to me several years ago. Strange friggin day. You know what it is that I be sayin'? That day, I drove down to Ocean Sh!tty, and surfed the south end - WHOO HOOO NJSURFER42 !! It was all a docile 3 foot. Then I went back to that place. Man, don't be talking aboot specific jetties here, nigga. Anyway, it was all woolly and sh!t. At least 4-6' breakers out there. So I paddled next to that rock formation thing, which was cake. And just twenty yards off that rock formation thing, a mechanical 6 foot right was breaking all reef-like there. Ok, so there's no action, wave-wise, next to them rocks, so I stroke-out, and try and paddle north and I couldn't move........ Then I just gave up, and got sucked out past them rocks and into the inlet. Yes, I started to cry..... The wave in the inlet was doing it so I just grabbed a whitewater and banged into them rocks. Then I climbed-up on them rocks and said, " F it." Anyways, all y'all just fark-off from Brigantine. As "Baddy With the Trailer" said, it's nothing but slop. No really, Brig sucks. It's kind of weird how many AC surfers think negatively of Brig. One day in 2006, I had surfed just over the bridge, and just happened to go to States Ave. I saw some dude I knew. He is a goofball. I told him I just surfed in Brig, as I watched the waves at States Ave. He told me Brig sucks. And Brig does suck.....except for one place. It was funny because the breakers I had just ridden were twice as big and better than what was lapping in at States Ave. But it sucks compared to AC. Many good breaks in Brigantine? Nahhhh. Yes, Brig is practically deserted in the winter, like 10 dudes surf there regularly in the cold months. But of course AC is were the real boys surf. Hey, Nosediving Expert, do you have any drugs? I'll surf with you if you do.
Ah Live4truth....the freakin man aboot town. Hey, what breaks nearby are more consistent than Brigantine? The jetty picks-up souths like nobody's business. It's bigger and mo' powerful than AC and Ocean City. Tell your friends.........
Agreed, but there are a lot of Q Tips that frequent there. You may walk into an aftermath of elderly doo-doo stank if you don't time your dump right. By the way, I hop you best be buying something if you use that bathroom. A small coffee, 6 munchkins, you gotta pay to drop deuce.
Nosediver dude, go on Facebook and look for a guy named Tim Daley. He shreds better than Rob Kelly, but doesn't get the exposure. He's a real nice guy, too. So just send him a message and ax him to surf with you. Also, you could go into Primal Surf and ax that Laeilli(whatever the name is) dude to surf with you. Tell him you love SUP's. Man, truck Andrew Gesler and that Difillippo dude. They ain't funny. I'm funny. The Dark Fall guy is uptight and a sissy. They are the types that whine aboot Philly area tourists, and then go to Flyers games and concerts in Philly and vomit in parking lots. Yeah, it's cool when they visit Philly, but it's not cool when Philly visits Margate. I hate that kind of sh!t. They b!tch aboot Philly-area tourists in the summer. We're all the same people. South Jersey is Philadelphia. The whole area is OUR area. From the bridges to the beaches, niggas....Delaware Valley straight-the-truck-up. I'll kill anybody who is not from the Philadelphia-South Jersey region. Straight Jack The Mack. Truck all Ocean City surfers. And truck LBI-pseudo tough guys. Aw man, I can't stand that. Yeah, you're a real badarse from the streets of Ship Bottom. Rough place, man. Like here's an example of LBI: The Surf City police are tools. Just the worst. Real Officer Ponch, Rick Hunter, cop tough guys. Then ten years ago, some weirdo killed his grandma in Surf City.......... Half of the tough guy cops who worked the scene had to take leaves of absences because they couldn't emotionally handle what they saw..... Yep, that's the LBI Tough Guy right there.......... And truck Avalon and Cape May. And, of course, truck all you North Jersey chumps, too. Truck Stone Harbor, too.
Anything below Seaside Park is uncharted territory for me. Like New Guinea or something. As far as I'm concerned, surfing doesn't really happen below Ocean County NJ. Sorry brahhs. Watch the tram car b* tches.
Billy-bonggg glad to see you resurface. Heard AI was great fun and that you did well on the sponge. Word is that you had to sip on Knob Creek instead of Kasser's. Hope you're ready for Gonzo?
Ditto for me but I'm the opposite, surf everywhere from LBI and south lol. might be changing that this weekend and head a little more north if the winds don't cooperate. Welcome back SJB, welcome back!
Hahaha.... welcome back man. Your acronyms continue to grow. The humble three-letter 'PJB' has grown into the rather impressive 'GOSJBII'.
Hurricane Bill. The ONLY Time Brig was proper (i lived there from 07-2010). No joke, minute long waves & Playful. Everywhere else was massive, scary and closing out. But yeah, long paddle out is generous. Makes paddling out at newbreak a walk in the park
Oh hi Eastern Massachusetts Jeff Spicoli. How you doing? You still surfing and sh!t? Yeah, AI was cool. I'm not much of the camping type, but we had drugs to make it more enjoyable. I forced Seldom Seen to ingest percocets and oxycontin. Though the oxy's these days suck. Hey, does anyone know how to get around the new time release set up? Man, I get a little paranoid driving around with drugs on me these days. Wow, I used to be so reckless. Plus, Seldom's vehicle perpetually smells like grass. Really, it does. Spicoli, we stopped at a little Liquor store in Delaware just before the Maryland border, and they got $1.00 shot bottles of Smirnoff Vanilla. Got 3 of them before heading into Maryland. No Kasser's on that trip. "But I am thirty-two" Let's see, I took a 20 mg oxy and a 10 mg percocet before Seldom arrived. Then we smoked a joint on my porch before leaving. Then Seldom went to Dunkin Donuts. He always goes there. He's got a caffeine problem......and a weed problem. I'm going to help him. So, man we were cruising along Rt 13......Rt 1...........rolling on the vibes. We just love Delaware. So, then we get there and smoke some more. Seldom bought a 12'er of Yuengling. So then this Yankee guy shows-up. So, I started drinking beer just in case Yankee was mean to me. So, Yankee shows-up and we all hug and stuff......very emotional time. 3 men, brought together by the internet, sharing memories. So, I had like 3 shots in me, and four or five beers. So Yankee gets us in his room-room truck and we go a drivin' . Yankee's all on the beach and sh!t. So we checked a few places, and went out at the worst spot we saw !! Yeah, high tide........2-3 foot.........not enough juice to handle the tide there. I was half-lit anyways, ya know what I'm sayin'? Seldom, being from the Rhode Island coast had never seen a thump bub shorebreak before, and he took to it like a dog on a cheeseburger. Yankee is all over the place. Rt 50...........AI...........Vagina Beach, VA............Totally. He was a very nice man to give us booze. He did get cocky with me once. I told him I worked in the substance abuse recovery industry and he gave me some cockiness, as I downed the last of my Yuengling........ Then, after the surf, we hung in the parking lot and bro'd-it-up. Totally. Then Yankee left like that Kung Fu guy before he died choking and masturbating. Yep, Yankee hit the road again for another adventure in Virginny. It's weird, because Yankee reminds me of one of them sophisticated, southern gentleman........but he's a Yankee. He has adapted well. Anyways, Yankee left, and me Seldom went back to the campsite and drank and smoked weed. Then at 7:30 we headed inland to West Ocean City and landed at Pizza Tugos, where we ate pizza and drank more beer. Seldom took percocet in the parking lot. But it was awesome. Dude, Friday night, October, and we were mixing in with the coastal Maryland locals, all hanging out at Pizza Tugos. Seldom dug Pizza Tugos. I thought it was alright. I dug the total package of the scene, but I didn't think the pizza was as good as Seldom did. And that's perfectly fine. Actually the funny thing is that during my trip to Ocean City, MD in 1988 I got Pizza Tugos, and it was on fire. Then, during subsequent trips there, Pizza Tugos never lived-up to that first experience. Seldom got me some good pie up in CT. I'm kind of bummed I didn't try more of his pizza places in the greater New Haven area. I kind of like Seldom's area. Yeah, I kind of do. You know.......if you guys would stop being scared you could meet-up with other Swellinfo dudes and take trips while doing drugs and surf exotic waves...... But no you guys get scared. Yankee wasn't scared.
Billy, how does the clinic feel about your recreational usage of pills and booze? Do you tell the clients to do as you say and not as you do? Did Gruvi join you for pizza? Did he pay? You ride any wild mares? Sounds like a grand ole time down in the AI. Yes, still surfing and schitt when waves allow.
Mr. Sniffer, how are you? I like this Sniffer guy. Hey Sniffer, I corresponded with Jon Coen a couple of times in the past six months. I told him I was a seagull, with a huge french fry-eating addiction, who was pissed at him for his constant mentions of the "South End" in his columns. Mr. Coen is alright. He was a good sport. Aww man, I could go for some Panzone's right now. Yeah, ok, it's not as classic as it was 15 years ago, but it still is mighty fine eatin'. And for the record, I love LBI. I just can't stand dudes who act tough from there. It bothers me. Actually, I'm getting tired of all macho BS that dudes are constantly throwing out. Being "tough" is not cool. So sick of macho posturing. So sick of it......... And to all who have wished me well so far today. Thank you. Shoot, I can't remember who has done so - I'm a little high right now. There were a few of you guys....HEY ZUES I can't remember who you guys are right now. Sorry.
I lived on the island for 12 years so I understand the "tough guy" thing that some locals give off. It comes from being weathered on probably the most exposed piece of land next to the outer banks and cape cod. You do have to be mentally tough to live on that deserted island all winter year after year. Although, its no excuse for being a **** to other people that come down when its enjoyable to be there.
I agree with that. I love that island and enjoy surfing there to no end, but I don't think I would want to live there year round... It's crazy though, you drive over the bridge and stafford almost seems like it's another world
LBI!! probably one of the only spots where you can surf by yourself with not a single soul insight when its not "peak season."
C'mon fellers, LBI ain't that isolated. Y'all axing, like, LBI is some remote island in Alaska, where you can sell pints of illegal booze to eskimos for up to $100.00 per bottle. No, really, the more remote the village is, the more that bottle of booze is. Wow, imagine getting $75.00 for a pint of $4.00-a-pint Kasser's Premium Vodka. Like right across the bay, from this LBI, that you speak of, is the quaint, small fishing village of Manahawkin (Yo,Oceans Acres, Nautulis Drive, working class, "central," Jersey boys being cool !!). Many ocean travelers, shack-up in Manahawkin to take refuge for the night before heading to more populated regions. There maybe a Wal Mart in Manahawkin, but it's pretty desolate........ Some 60 miles, from LBI, lies this city, glittering in gold, just across the Delaware from New Jersey........... Many young LBI kids dream of getting off this lonely, barrier island, and into all of the tangible dreams Philadelphia has to offer. Some kids, raised in Barnegat Light, even dream of this place, a place off to another direction than Philadelphia, but almost lying in the same distance.................... New York they called it, and it was every bit as good as it sounded. PEOPLE !!! Lots of them......and cars.........oh, and the buildings !!! So tall and mighty. Such a fine sight for the sheltered- comprehension of those lonely souls raised in Brant Beach....... 30 minutes away from the shores of LBI, is Egg Harbor City, a town, Swellinfo's, Mr. Sniffer, once called, " The Jewel of South Jersey." This town destroys the youth of Little Egg Harbor and Beach Haven with it's poisonous offerings. HEY THIS IS MY FIRST TIME POSTING ON SWELLINFO FROM WORK !!!!!!!!
