I'm with you on this. Actually got out my step up, as the dreaded surfline is calling 8 ft sets with standouts seeing DOH. If all the models are correct, this should be clean and solidly fun conditions- I feel like an eight year old in a candy shop

Gonzo is up to 145mph. You cats think he will go Cat5? Some real low pressure in him at 942 right now.

Speaking of low pressure, the Gulf is under 1000 now. natkitchen, you gonna get pinned or what bro?

Hows it looking down south y'all? My buddy in Cocoa said solid chest, clean, and building first thing this morning.

Clean green chest high and peeling. Long rides. Offshore wind strong enough to keep the waves open. Offshore spray at the back of waves creating rainbows. Beautiful!

unless you are surfing a point, decent pier or a jetty you gonna be getting swallowed up. I think tomorrow afternoon will be the sauce in jersey everywhere at a nice 4.5 at 8 with secondary at 13secs, Saturday is 5.7 at 14sec with 15+ mph winds straight off shore. but... it is a SE swell so hopefully spots will get lucky idk if most places will be able to hold.. either way kill it, ill be in bawston impreganating stupid b!tches at my buddies school

Just looking at the track, and a Cat 4 power tracking north is going to light up southfacing spots in Nova Scotia and Maines

Agreed. Those "hidden" Central Maine spots should be lit up on Sunday.

I just got back from the N end of VB. out going tide. Knee high at best. almost wasted high. got wet. cried all the way home. gonna try on the in coming after I fix a fryer in Chesp. My buddy from Sandbridge called last night about chest high waves. today would have been chest high to that runt.

Frickin Cat3/4 hurricane sitting due southeast of here about 800 miles and it's waist high this morning. WTF? Sitting here at home waiting. Should have gone to Hatteras (famous last words). Thinking the tide is low at 9:30, so I'll mosey on down to the beach around 10:00 and start looking. All the old longboard dudes should have closed shop and headed to their 9 to 5s by then. The swell has got to start filling in at some point soon.

yeah, It would have been better had there been a bar out there. VB fugged up taking the storm drains out.

How was the water? Did it cool off with the offshores or is it still warm?

Closeouts in WB this morning. I am at work already now so I did not get a chance to look around for a better break. But it was good to get wet and enjoy the weather. Wednesday was the best so far this week. I think that swell was from the cold front. Here's a pic from that day...caught some of the best rides in a long time. wave.jpg
