I don't know man a mechanical box seems worse. Kind of like a Roomba robot vacum towing you.

I've never seen one of those things in person, but they look ridiculously dangerous to me. Like the kind of thing you should never ever use with other people in the water. Kids these days...

there was a tide pool at pipe and volcom or some other surf company set one up, it was fun looking. FOR THE KIDS IN THE TIDEPOOL...not 'grown' men in the surf

Mitchell and I witnessed a Boston Whaler doing tow-ins a few weeks back on a chest high day in Ocean City. Friggin dumb, getting ****ty rides and slicing up the mediocre surf we were trying score.

I forgot about that. Calling that afternoon chest high is very generous, and yes they were doing their thing about two blocks from us and the boat was throwing wake our way at least three different times ruining the glassy little peelers for about 5 minutes at a time. People who do that kind of stuff probably don't realize just how many people are bumming about it, they just assume "if I'm not close enough to actually be in your way on a wave then I'm good"

I'll see your lawnmower, and raise you a Hindu sprinkler.
