    Hi my name is Brandon.
After growing up in Las Vegas surfing in Southern California and wakesurfing behind the boat. (If you haven't tried it, you must) then moving to Delaware in the recent months. The endless desire to get out in the water has become my greatest addiction. Any time there is a hint of surf on the forecast it's like a full on relapse of constant weather checking, i don't think there are enough surf or weather sites to check to fulfill my endless craving for believing there will be good surf. It has recently created frustration with the woman who feels I check the weather and surf to often. Can this even be possible? O how many times of recent my heart has broken when the forecasts don't come to fruition. In the end I find solace here with my fellow addicts who when they can't find comfort in the water find it here on the forum. Thanks Fam. ;)

    Hi Brandon.

I'm Ben. I've been addicted to waves on and off for the past 20 years. I'm also an SI-aholic.

    I come here for help.

LMAO! I haven't heard that in a while!

Whats up Brandon, welcome to the East Coast, even worse than that, welcome to DE. We don't have 23 footers nor do we have bench offs, but it can be pretty good here once in a while. Don't worry about any secret spots here, we have none. LOL It's pretty much, the Inlet or Lewes, other wise, head south. Anyways, welcome to SI, and don't get your panties in a wad if someone gives you a hard time, it's love.

I was also in Henderson, Green Valley area. My family is still out there as well.

it gets pretty good, I have checked it a couple times on different swells. you're limited to a swell from like 90 - 130 degrees so E - ESE. Anything more northern will hit into the jetty and anything to south will seem to miss it. I haven't seen it on one of the crazy good days but I hear you can get a nice long right in, which would be even more nice if I wasn't goofy ha.

Welcome Brandon. Former SoCal boy here. If you haven't scored yet, don't worry...you will. And when you do, you will understand why these SI boys are so frothy. It gets good, just not quite as often. But it does get good, often very good. Learn from your surroundings, do some exploring and respect the locals. You will find yourself scoring enough to keep the stoke alive. Good luck.

Thanks! I got really lucky and my boards were delivered 2 days before Bertha came by. Had the best day of surfing I have ever had during that swell. Since then the storms just haven't lived up to the hype! But been enough to keep that search alive. Now i'm in the search for the cold winter gear.

I actually have a brand new 4/3 I picked up my last trip to California for 65% off. Quite nice. I got a hood when i took a trip out here last January and got in the water. Was in a 3/2 with a hood and what some may call boots and gloves that only leaked. So it got cold quick. So now i'm purchasing gloves and boots? Are mittens better than single finger gloves? I always rock mittens in the snow.
