I bet it was going off at that spot today- seemed like the perfect direction for there!

It was going off in moco - easy head hi and peeling lefts- all the way to the beach and super easy to surf! It's just a the cold... The wind chill... Hands froze during the walk back to the truck...

Wind was cranking but I like it like that. I don't know why no one else does- I can understand the water in your eyes during take off... But come on- the late take offs are super fun and easy and the wave face is sooo smooth... No complaining that there's no waves- waves where fun today and no one was out! Gotta love this time of year!

Yep yep yep.... couple extra paddles and then I was in the wave and I had time to get up, blind or not. Downside is that I was held up in the lip a few times, and I tweaked my shoulder pretty hard somehow.

Where I was, it was much windier and significantly smaller than yesterday. I still had a blast. At one point I stepped off the board, popped up outta the water, and BAM, taut leash in my face. The board got picked up by the wind and sailed right over my head!

Not heavy at all but the wind was something to contend with. A weekend of good offshore waves ended on football and wings; nothing to complain about here.

You guys are funny. Monmouth county NJ looked like
Blown out **** today. Saw a few people out sitting in the water not even getting waves.
Those that did manage to make the drop looked like they were standing still there was so much wind or they do a turn and get blown off the back.
45 mile hr side/offshore? No thanks.
Suddenly though it becomes epic on the internet? Haha

I don't think anyone said it was epic. Some big waves but impossible to get into any productive position.

Who is talking about monmouth county here? You pick the spot that works on the wind direction. I did hear the monmouth county was good late afternoon but much smaller.

Yesterday was the day for Long Island. Wind stayed under 30 by me... good size and not many people out. Today wasn't happening.. hopefully tomorrow there may be a wave left and some calmer wind.

Where I was today it was great, docPhilly. And you know why...? Because wherever I am, it's effing great, docPhilly.

Tell us some more Internet yah yah about how you shredded today while everyone else got shoved south on a conveyor belt in 35 mph NNW gusts. Analyze that.

Bro you must have missed it!

I was sitting out there- shotting the pier - by myself , wondering where is everyone? These waves are great and no ones around! Usually this spot is packed!

It wasn't epic by any means, but I did say it was head hi and peeling- super fun on my fav type of wave with heavy offshores.... And yea- it was a little wait till the better set... Buts it's ok cause there was no one around to jocky around- every wave was totally makeable

Heard tell that the shred hisself was on top of those 23' growlers, paddling down the face of those critters & totally dissing the 40 mph face job wind, while shrieking something guttural about how he wouldn't ever be stopped by no steeeeking pansy pier shot.

Anyone in NE even try paddling out today? Winds were pushing 50.

I usually only go out when it's D OH, and this swell just scraped that. It was OK. Nice to down a six pack of Bud and get wet.
