I like these articles, they delve into why we are so enamoured with riding waves, without glamorising the whole thing.

This is not about the topic, but it's the best surfer ever, giving a little insight on his relationship with AI. Kelly Slater made a really cool post on instagram. It was about Andy Irons. It really gives a nice look into that relationship, and it's funny to hear Kelly talk about how he cussed out the judges back in the day in true AI fashion... At any rate, this was a solid surfing post from today

#AI and I in France a few years back. We had our first ever real back and forth battle in a quarter final heat in small surf at the Quik Pro in Hossegor, France in 2002. I thought I won the heat and yelled at the judges afterwards. Haha. Andy went on to make the final with #NecoPadaratz then proceeded to go on a tear thru France and was literally unbeatable there for 3 years, which was unbelievable given it's such an unpredictable wave. Just showed the guy's depth and adaptability in different conditions along with a huge drive not only to win but to dominate. In '05 Andy was way behind in an early heat and nearly lost before coming back to win that heat and ultimately the event. I remember him yelling, "Keep that champagne on ice!", to all the Quiksilver guys when they were getting ready to celebrate my potential world title at that event. Just silenced everyone! They #BrokeTheMold after this guy was born. I'm thankful we got to share some personal times together also and get to know each other away from competition. #ThankYouAndy! #Inspiration : @tsherms

    And Rob Machado posted this:

This is a good post, but I was derailed by the ad on the side SI screen telling me there are 5000+ Thai women seeking love!

An older interia article that speaks on the science of the stoke and the ionized particles that realize all the natural happy chemicals in our brains.

To quote Bodhi; "Pure adrenalin, right?! The ultimate rush. Other guys snort for it, jab a vein for it -- all you gotta do is jump."

That's the case with a lot of ads that come up on various sites, and I can pick em out pretty easily. Half the time it's **** I recently looked at on ebay or amazon. But on here I get a lot of random ads. Dunno if Mr swell info gets specific ads and payments for certain sites. One that always come up are chevy silverado and indo board ads, which I've never searched for either...

SI_Admin want to chime in at all and give some advertising info pertaining to your site?

Impossible, I am also on a work computer. They block everything, and even if I could, I wouldn't. Maybe because I looked up some Thai recipes, they thought I ALL Thai. LOL

If you think about it most energy is measured in waves. Light, sound all that. It's pretty cool to think that we are riding the power of the earth.

You can write the same article about almost any outdoor activity. Biking skiing fishing phishing hunting. Etc etc.
