Judoka are the real deal. Ever want to end up in the hospital, fight a Judoka on pavement. They'll hurt you on a mat, take away the mat, hilarity and titanium rods will ensue.

Looks like he's an arrogant little shiiite. Also looks like he enjoys hurting / humiliating opponents. Already has no class. Hope he turns into the wrestling version of Brian Bosworth.

If he's that good, fair assumption he's got some serious help from home. I'd venture to say he's got a 35 year old washed up mma fighter dad living vicariously through his kid. Kids at that age don't have attitudes like that, they mirror their surroundings.

I feel bad for the kid to some degree. He's a mental sponge, if he was in the right family, that kid would be working at raytheon by age 21, but instead he will be taking Thai kicks looking for a championship bout. Waste of talent.

He wont last long. The true athletes & champions are never kicking the shiiite out of their peers during grade school & middle school. The success comes later, always.

The amount of abuse he's taking that early, I suspect he's going to end up with some growth issues. Not to mention the anabolics his dad will no doubt push on him. Mighty mouse at age 13. Damn shame still. Kid could do anything.

I gotta interject and say that hip toss, first throw shown, is pure judo. Kid does look like a little prick.

Alot of wrestlers train judo, and they're usually really good since judo > wrestling. I train with a guy whos main focus is judo but wrestles for fun, went all state and all that jazz. I can see the judo in this kids ground game too. I expect to see him in the Olympics when he's older. For judo ofcourse, not wrestling

Aren't we the guys that talk about the pussification of America all the time? I'd expect Magic Michael and Yankee to be intimidated by this man-child though.

I agree with a few of the comments on this thread. The kid does have skill but his apparent ego needs to go. Chances are he is being too highly influenced by his washed up MMA dad. I could be wrong, but Im probably not. Will be interesting when he comes up to an opponent that is better than him and see how he handles it. When kids like that hit the wall and realize that just maybe they arent as great as mommy and daddy and their coaches have programed them to believe they usually drop off. I do feel bad for the kid sort of. His ego clearly shows he has is not being getting any kind of balanced example of humbleness and sportsmanship. He'll wind up some out of shape bar stool jockey miserable at the world and looking to take it out on the ones he is only sure of that he can threaten. ... Beside that, judo and wrestling/grappling are great disciplines. Given proper guidance kids can really benefit from it in many different ways.

Fo shizzle, kid's got a mean scarf-hold. I've rolled with some Judo guys whose ground game was just as effective as a good BJJ guy.

Judo and Jiu Jitsu, were developed at the same times but Judo was supposed to be more sporting and non-lethal.

Indeed...and that actually is why they have different suffixes...Ju=yielding, Do=Way(sporting/less lethal/trained with the higher ideals of martial arts in mind), Jitsu=art(more pragmatic/combative)...so it is Way vs Art...
