here' a page with all the statistics and links to prove them. many links are to UN or GOV sources.

you can also watch the documentary covering all these statistics and exposing many environmental organizations that refuse to address them for free from this link.

hey doug, can you ask your mom to stop eating the neighborhood squirells sh!t? Its repulsive and bad for the community when people see your mother on all fours eating squirell sh!t like a pig.

If you guys need any food I can spare some leftover dog food for you.

Doug, you are still just rattling off opinions, man. I don't hate you, but I think you are misguided and willing to believe anything posted on the internet. Nothing in your rant makes sense scientifically. I can kill many plants with salt water, yet man can consume salt without issues. You are making very poor analogies and getting emotional over something you really haven't researched properly.

It doesn't solve the problem is completely unrealistic and will lead to more issues. People can't eat a proper nutritional diet with all food available now, just imagine how bad it would be if they were forced to eat a fairly strict diet. Mass malnutrition is the result. There is no doubt that humans are messing up the planet. More people breeding, less space for everyone, increased urbanization, increased energy needs.... I could go on and on. There will be no farm revolution with $7billion people in this world.

Brew who is funding the scientific studies you are quoting/basing your opinion on?

I'm just as guilty as the next guy of buying gmo and what-nots. That doesn't mean all the chemicals they spray in the name of science are safe. You do realize the guys spraying those chems have to wear full on haz-mat suits. I'm sorry that can't equal safe for the environment. Monsanto and Dow and DuPont are in the business for profits. They want products that will produce the most therefore make them the most. Safe or not. They have effectively created a monoculture which is not good for any ag based society. And yes even with all the cities and grocery stores we are still an ag based society. The way they fix any issue that may arise is to create a new solution in a lab to pour on the already lab created foods they are growing. It's a vicious cycle. It was much better when farmers had to actually breed their crops vs scientists creating them in their labs.

    1. well 1st of all we dont have to worry about your fat ass contributing to breeding cuz you cant pull.
    2. we can solve that by sending your guttural white trash fat ass into space as space junk and will free up about a couple hundred thousand square miles
    3. and i dont really see any possible solution for this, nothing on this earth can supply the amount of energy needed to power your fat ass on a rascal.

What I got from your responses:
    1. There is messed up stuff going on in large corporate farming.
    - Duh.
    2. You are afraid of GMOs.
    - Brought on from stuff you read on the net and saw on a documentary.
    3. You are afraid of pesticides and herbicides.
    - Again, peer reviewed research says no issues so far, but that isn't where you get your info.
    4. You think documentaries are fact.
    - Completely silly.
    5. You think the people that don't side with you are crazy.
    - It doesn't matter that I agree about treatment of farm animals, or the fact that GMOs should continue to be researched. If I am not 100% against it, I am crazy in your eyes.
    6. You hate all pesticides and herbicides, because you think they all harm the environment.
    - Another thought that comes about when you don't look into all the research.

Did you not read my links? I think the MIT.EDU in the link is self explanatory. However, they aren't the only ones studying it. Every major university with an Ag department has been studying GMOs, pesticides, and herbicides for years. Even the USDA has been studying it. As for your point about hazmat suits, it is more confusion from a lack of research. There is one thing to consume these products in minute amounts through residuals on food. It is another to breath and absorb the stuff through your skin every day. This is basic occupation hazard stuff. The confused public doesn't understand dosages and dilution factors.

Wow Brew, do you have peer reviewed scientific research to verify all that? I'm beginning to question the adiquacy of your reading comprehension.

Sorry no I didn't read them. But I am more than just a little informed. Look up Maui and Monsanto, we (well the whole island chain in general) are a hotbed for testing and I can tell you the research is biased. Sorry to burst your MIT bubble.

since we are on the topic of science conspiracies or whatever u call it and "facts" and "scientists."

do u know all these major institutions and scientists that talk about global warming are actually funded and paid for their works, that if they do not continue to put out new theories the funding stops from the government.its like homeland security and terrorism,if there is no terrorism threat or bad guys to hunt down, all these corporations dissolve and the money train stops.theres actually a very healthy list of scientists that say and back that global warming is complete bs,but because they are not the scientists paid to further the propaganda, their words fall on deaf ears.i was cracking up hysterical watching this on the weather channel, like they were breaking shyt down to a tee, like videos of the glaciers bursting, then mentioning the rainfall 2 weeks prior that flooded into cracks and broke the ice into large parts,or how the seasons are a big influence.for example al gore and his cronies would go to Iceland in late spring as glaciers are melting and say global warming.its like snow melting on the eastcoast saying the worlds about to be dead.another good one is the icebergs that look like ice cream flavors.but who knows what to believe,i take a little from all sides of the arguments and come up with my own thing.and if any of u drive a prius, good for u;)

Cep climate change is 100% a reality. The reason they say 'global warming' isn't real is due to the fact some spots are seeing a drop in average temps. While others are seeing a rise. So in that yes global warming is false. However glaciers are melting at an alarming rate.

No this crap again. There are plenty of independent climate research groups. Sorry dude, I have done research projects in college. They don't pay by theory. You want to talk about money, look no further than big oil. Anyways, let's stay on topic.

Maui isn't the only place where research is being conducted. But if you have data that goes against the current research results, I would love to see it. I am always open to new data.
