Okay, I know I will prob get some crap, but I just picked up this board for $150.00. It's a 7'6" and it's brand new, never touched the water, with fins and a leash. Guy put wax on it so it was ready, but never used it. Now, I am short boarder 100%, but there have been days where I wouldn't mind to have a longboard to just play around on. Plus, if it gets damaged, I will not be that upset. I think it was a good deal

Pick up a Matix Six pack belt and your set for fun in ankle biter summer conditions...

Yeah I would have bought that for $150 for sure. Slap a ticker over the Ron Jon or just rock it as is and tell everyone you got a sweet sponsor deal from them! Either way good deal for a funboard.

i had a softop by surf tech that went quite well.
everybody hated it - and told me so - and it invited line-up bullying.
so i put a CI sticker on it and problems solved.

Bro that is a phenom deal on a new stick of that sort. You'll have a blast on the 7'6 on days where you otherwise wouldn't be able to. My midlength is just about that and has been great fun, although I don't paddle out on it enough.

Just one question...did it have tags on it when you bought it?

    Good find!

Someone once put a Ron Jon Sticker on my VW bus for a joke. I killed him... Nah.. JK.. JK.. didn't even notice it for about two weeks. Sold the bus with the sticker still on it. I'd rock that board!

I did slapt a rainbow sticker that read, "Come Out" on my buddies jacked up jeep one time. He rode around for like a week before he noticed it. Good times

Although Ron Jon is a only an OK made popout, it's still a board, and it's still better than a bic. And I think I saw that ad on craigslist for that board, which has been up there for about 5 months maybe 6... he probably would have taken $100.

ALWAYS take note of the time on market of CL items. You'll occasionally come across the annoying semi-seller that's just reverse-browsing to see if they can get their top price and doesn't need to sell. All other times, you're getting a seller that is dying to get rid of their merchandise and liquidate it by any means possible if the listing has been up for a few weeks or more. I pulled off an obscene trade this week and knew I'd be able to when I saw their goods had been originally posted two months prior.

Always talk them down. You can usually slash the price by a lot. Cuts both ways though when you're selling. Just get good at negotiations.

Everyboard I have purchased on CL, I have purchased $50 to $100 less than what they are asking. This guy was asking $200.00. I could have gone lower, but, I am happy with what I paid

I've been buying/selling on craigslist for 3 years and this basically sums up what I look for when buying on craigslist. My most recent buy was a Gopro hero4 BLACK for $350, $150 off the retail (and it just came out) and the guy let it go so cheap because he just wanted to get rid of it.
