Im going to California on Christmas and staying for a month to surf, im 20 years old and need to rent a car for as cheap as possible. Looking for some guidance on where I could find the best car rental agency that will also allow me to go into Tijuana (with insurance). Cant wait to do nothing but surf for a month. Bro, LGB airport is the bomb. Fly into there. They have way cheaper rentals than SAN and I've got major upgrades there for free several times.
I don't believe that any U.S. rental company allows their vehicles into Mex. Look for "Rent-A-Wreck" in downtown, they might still have some decent rates.
No bro. Simple search of the wholesale vendors will tell you the prices. A monthly rate should be fairly good but not all of them do that.
I just got back from San Diego and used Budget. If they offer you an upgrade stand your ground and they will drop the price significantly.
