12 variety pack of kona for 12.99

    Busch heavy in reserve.

The konas are how they always are to me, tasty but not exactly a ton a flavor. Like but not love.

How is that Yank? Can I get it up my way?

This weekend I shot up to Portland ME. Drove through an ice storm for chest high rollers at Kennebunk. By the time I go there it was low tide disorganized thigh high chaos. Ug. Got a hotel and went out in Portland old town. I learned that Grittys has the best clam chowder I've had since my memory formed as a child. I also learned that Grittys "Maine's Best IPA" (name of the beer) is ABSOLUTELY NOT THE BEST IPA IN MAINE. IT DOESNT EVEN TASTE LIKE AN IPA. IT TASTES LIKE A BITTER ENGLISH PUB BEER. I told the waitress, "I think you gave me the wrong beer. This is clearly not an IPA." We politely dueled and she insisted that thats what their IPA tasted like, though she offered to get me another beer. I declined. I ate my meal and left for another watering hole. I enjoyed a Baxter BC IPA and finished up with a Lagunitas IPA at the BBQ house. Watched a black out drunk guy zombie walk the establishment spilling beer, and was politely escorted out with class.

Today I surfed waist highs at Higgins at sun up. It said 30 degrees but with that wind and spray back it felt like single digits.

How was it? Ballantine XXX is by far the best cheap beer out there.

Gotta pull this up early, Made on Honor, Sold on Merit, Gansett time. Kicking my weekend off early. captain ran over a lobster buoy, got it hung in the screw, pulling the boat so it looks like a long weekend for me.

It's a tasty, 7.25% brew, Unky2B. Not sure if it's distributed up north country way. Clipper City Brewing Company out of Balmer City, MD is the source. They just opened up a brew pub in Rosslyn, btw, named Heavy Seas: good, fresh Loose Cannon IPA & more, at the source.

If you make it down south to AI for next autumn's Swellie hang on the wild side (Seldom, SJB, TLo, G-Footer, who knows who else maybe Sasquatch too), I'll tote properly chilled Loose Cannon along with the sublime Maker's Mark for sippin'. You bring the deet.
