DudeApe, I'm no expert & I don't know anyone who 'has' Morgellon's but I do know several derm docs. I've inquired about Morgellon's, just out of curiosity. The derms always start laughing when that topic of Morgellon's occasionally comes up. As in, nutso de facto are the people who are convinced that they have a skin ailment named Morgellons: it is loony toons patients who have 'discovered' an ailment, and then the 'Net facilitates the solo psychos find one another & proclaim a 'medical condition.'

It's called delusional parasitosis. It's not new, by any means. The research on it dates back to at least the 1930's with people complaining of 'ants in their veins.'

Sounds like a rough night with the Kassers.

Or, put more succinctly:
In primary delusional parasitosis, the delusions comprise the entire disease entity, there is no additional deterioration of basic mental functioning or idiosyncratic thought processes. The parasitic delusions consist of a single delusional belief regarding some aspect of health.

Translation: normal person in every respect except one & in that respect they are nutso de facto about their 'disease.'

Ask any doc about their patients. Get ready. It's loonville out there, bucko.

Hey don't ignore the truth. Michelle Jr. was just saying in the Bush/Clinton thread that he hijacked with his talk radio wisdom that Morgellons is one of toxins they are planning on releasing in the FEMA camps once Obama declares himself global dictator, as is evidenced by the Mayan calendar.
