scumbag or victim? lets try to avoid overt racism here. to me it seems both. he should be punished for enjoying those who would freely please? or is this a takedown?
not sure I want to reply, nor do I get what you mean in your 4th sentence...freely please..? As much as I like(d) him for having the guts to speak up about issues that go against the mainstream, I think his past is catching up with him. Too many women coming out with the same or similar story.. Think he needs to make amends and go under a rock.
no opinion here. how long ago did these supposedly happen? i think its safe to say if you don't report it within a decade, it doesn't count. even if it did, i am NOT of the 21st century huffington post feminist mindset that a woman should be allowed to go out in lingerie and get blackout wasted and not expect to wake up with her face in a pillow. thats a ridiculous first world expectation, and people act shocked like "OMG I just got drunk and did E and wanted to make out with four guys at the frat house with no clothes on---I wasnt asking for it?!?!" I love that here in america we can say and do what we want---but ladies, in some parts of the world you cant leave your house without a male member of your family, and in some parts of the world you get public lashings for disobeying men, and in some parts of the world rape is prosecuted with the vigor of a traffic ticket and sometimes excusable by circumstances pertaining to honor. i am not saying these are good things (although sometimes I wanna surprise Mrs. Two Barrels with a trip to rural Pakistan and see if she pulls that whiney ***** act there?!?!?). but what I am saying is that ladies should get some perspective. on limited patches of land in this world you can say and do as you please, but certain behaviors are going to solicit certain actions and to have the expectation that you should be able to dress like a prostitute, get profoundly intoxicated, and not be violated is.... foolish. so the relevance to bill cosby---i am going to teach my daughters that its probably not a good idea, especially if you are a model, to party with black comedians. no racism intended. i will probably say nfl and nba players too. dont have drinks with black millionaires as a standard rule, and make sober exceptions as you see fit. also.... comedian rape is known as crape, of which the proper spelling is crepe. So the question is, did Cosby crepe those women...
4th sentence meant...is he being held to a standard most of us would (happily) violate? also, if he really did dope them...well, imo dats crossing the line into criminal behavior. if you were questioning my use of the word 'takedown'...well, how is it they all show up at once w/fake boobs and hair-weaves in place and - from the lawyers office - all scream BAD MAN? does this not smack of conspiracy?? utb - well put. funny aboot 'whiney act'....got nothin against mrs. utb though...
I think when you're drugging women to do your thang you get placed directly into the rapist category.
agree. but would a hollywood mega-star actually need to dope 'em? common sense, to me at least, says probably not.
@U2B - WITFS!?! "but certain behaviors are going to solicit certain actions and to have the expectation that you should be able to dress like a prostitute, get profoundly intoxicated, and not be violated is.... foolish." Really?? This is your take away, that rape sucks but it's worse in other parts of the world? Cases of rape, violence and agression towards women are strongly documented throughout history. A man knows when he is pushing himself where it's not wanted. There are some pretty hot chicks surfing the women's pro tour right now wearing skimpy bottoms, I hope they don't like to party.
One or two people accuse you... Maybe lies 14 women all tell the same story how they were drugged... Probably a rape-er F that guy.
I sort of agree with Dirty Uncle, why wasn't it reported it back then? Especially, since there were so many, you would think at least one would have come forward. I'm not a Cosby fan, so I could care less, but at this point from the bits and pieces i've heard, I think he did something!
^some did. a few were barely 18, aspiring actresses back then etc.. they were trying to make it in hollywood or wherever and they said that he threatened their careers or hopes of careers if they said anything.
See, thats what I get for puting in my 2 cents without having heard all the evidence. LOL I didn't think any did, back then.
one explanation is that he was STUPID and he did drug 'em cause he didn't know any better.... i think he's been convicted in the court of public opinion. wonder how much $$ the accusers will end up with?
Hush money or what? The statute of limitations is expired, can they do a civil case? In other news, I've heard of jello as a lube. What flavor do you think he used?
i just assumed they were doing it for $$. if $$ is not available to them; well, i guess that strengthens their case.
young wanna be actresses...hmm, remember that line from the Eagles song, "how badly do you want this part?" I'm thinking Cosby took advantage of his stardom, did some bad things, but also more are piling on because he leans conservative, and tell blacks to be responsible for themselves. Lot of people don't like that.
I guess he's a racist too. “Let me say this,” Cosby told New York Post reporter Stacy Brown on Friday. “I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.” Any apologists wanna explain this to me?
Because the dood has no game, that's why. Just 'cause he has the money doesn't translate into women flocking into his stinky arms. Plenty of wealthy doods have zero-to-no-game. And, of course, some do. That being said, the indisputable fact is that Cosby paid off the one woman & had the court records sealed. That's the doomsayer for me: he's a rapist. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...-paid-women-ex-nbc-employee-article-1.2020464
