For those that need an introduction, I am new to the forum, I live in New England, and have been surfing for a very long time. Started in 1961, living in Puerto Rico for the first 18 years of my life. I just recently retired after working 35 years for a major pharma company, but I consistently have surfed for 53 years and also raced sailboats for many years as well.
My wife and I just returned from PR last week; first 2 days waves were shoulder high, then on Wednesday Dec 10, swell jumped and Marias was breaking at 20ft + faces, Tres Palmas began to break as well, and I did have the chance to get out at Tres after the swell calmed down to 12-14 ft on Thursday. At age 63, 25+ is no longer desirable. I return there every year to surf, visit friends and see the old stomping grounds. If any of you need info about PR, I will be glad to share what I know. The place has developed and changed a lot in the last 40 years since my family moved back to the mainland, but the waves are still there.
Now, back to 45 degree water and a 5/4 wetsuit, I suppose. But I actually like cold water surfing, perhaps because I got used to it??
Have a great day and xmas as well!

Love the handle Mr. Cuda! Nice to have another "vintage" surfer in the lineup. You've got a decade and change on me (just tripped 51 myself). Sometimes you have to paddle through some pretty crappy shorebreak around here to get to the good stuff outside, but overall, it's a good time.

    oh yeah... Welcome.

Welcome to our happy lil dysfunctional family. Avoid windowless vans with Florida plates and barns in Maine and you'll do just fine.

Vintage pics of PR hotties is perfectly acceptable as well.

Dude I am uneasy about this. I've been watching your posts since you've been back and I know others have their doubts too. I feel like you might still be banished and someone at SI is just fooling us so we don't orchestrate a mass uprising. Please do something that doesn't involve a facial cock slap or something like it to prove its you.

OK now that thats out of the way good to meet you Barry, nice to see someone new at least seem legit.

Pull the e brake on that one bro. Never said I didn't like what he was posting, or, that there was anything wrong with his posts. I noticed a difference and inquired. Might have been sarcastic... but tard gets sarcasm
