Kook comes back later and asks me what i said. Stated THANKS!!! Hr proceeds to tell me i need to be aware of other people in water. I call him a prick and tell him to learn some etiqite. He tells me to shut it, i call him a fudging douchebag...comes back after snother wave and passively aggressively splashes me after he is 2/3 yds past me... I don't think "racist" as a one-size-fits-all / broad brush label is going to work out very well.

Example - go to Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee", look up Season Four, specifically George Wallace. Watch it. Turns out Jerry and George have been friends since the 70's or something like that. They're both comedians. George is black. Comedians "dig on" each other. However, as I watched it, Jerry was more dismissive of George than George was dismissive of Jerry. And more dismissive of George than he has been with other black or white guests on that show. Maybe George normally throws it right back, but didn't THAT time because it was Jerry's show. OR has that relationship always been lopsided in the "giving a hard time" department? I don't know the whole truth. I had a hunch, but I'm not sure what it's worth, that the relationship is lopsided. If my hunch is right, would we call Jerry's digs on George "microaggression"? If/because we judge there is microaggression, do we then label Jerry Seinfeld as a racist? No one to ten scale, there's only one size of racist, and Jerry Seinfeld is a racist? Because theoretically, you either are or aren't racist, right? I'm not trying to throw Jerry Seinfeld under the bus, I'm trying to point out we need to be able to discuss the "degrees" of this, and labeling people as racists for all transgressions blocks a real discussion.
